I am a Canadian living in South Korea and sponsoring my New Zealander fiance.

Sent our application 11 May 2011
Received 13 May 2011
Sponsorship approval 14 June 2011

Now we are just waiting and waiting.

Not sure what is suppose to happen next. When I log in to ecas it just say application status unavailable. Is that normal?

Did you receive email or mail for sponsorship approaval?

I don't think this is normal bec friends are saying that ecas should have ur application with 48 hours? have u tried to contact cic??

Try using online receipt no instead of client ID, it may work :)

Can I mail my application directly to CPC Mississauga's PO Box using Express post or DHL from Australia? or should I send it to my husband in Canada?

Some input would be much appreciate on this one folks;

I think I may have figured out why we haven't heard anything yet. I was unable to provide the Option C printout for the tax year, as I only returned to work in March after being a stay at home mum for the last two years. I sent pay stubs and a letter explaining this, but do immigration need to see something from the tax? Maybe this could be the hold up? What are your thoughts? ;)

Sorry to hear you haven't heard back from CPC-M yet but fingers crossed for you.

I didn't provide an Option C either but got approved so I don't know if that's what could be holding your application up.

I sent them pay stubs and a letter from my UK employer confirming my employment and that's it.

Has the Call Centre been able to provide you with any information at all?

Hi Friends,

My application was received on 4th May and I have not received any letter. Any suggestion?

My husband lives in Canada and has PR and I am Indian working in Seychelles.

If they mailed it, it could simply be stuck in the post as even though they say they are back to work I am not sure how much work they are actually doing. I only received mail once since they have returned so I am skeptical there is much going on there.

I would suggest calling CIC-M and asking them what your file says. Also, you can log on to ECAS with Sponsors name, receipt number etc and see if anything has been posted there.

I received an email for sponsorship approval which shows on the ecas. Under permanent residence application status it says not available. I was just wondering if the visa office in Sydney would let me know they received the application or do I have just wait and wonder. :(

I am not sure, but I hope the Contact Centre should have something to tell you about this. Did U call them yet, this week?

Did your husband provide an email address on his sponsor forms? If he did then he should call CIC to find out what's going on. If not, then they'll probably have sent a paper letter to him and the postal backlog is still being cleared. Remember it will go to him, not you.

I was sent something in the mail by an organisation in Ontario on June 7th and it only arrived at my address in the UK on Saturday.

Surprised dair hasn't got the application back yet, but surely any day now?
