Can you tell me how you are tracking your application on ecas? are both parts (sponsorship application) and (pr application) are there on ecas?

Are you using your client ID or the online receipt number? do both numbers work on ecas?

I will answer it for you. After sponsorship approval, you may check ecas using sponsors client id and details OR receipt number and sponsors detail. Both worked for me, after 48 hours of sponsorship approval, some after 24 hours.

And

What about principle applicant after file transfer? do they have to use the same details or have to put their details while tracking? will the sponsor will be able to track it all till the PPR

Yep it only says DECISION MADE and when you click it, it will only tell you the date when they processed it and they will mail their decision. In our case, and in most cases, you will receive an email.

I haven't gone through the applicants stage yet coz we just passed ours last month. So it is still too early for that. BUT based on what I have read from some of the forumers, they are able to track it using the same details (LONDON). As for Manila office, like me, they said I can only view the applicants status once I have my client ID (applicant) and I will only get that once my PPR will arrive. Which office are you applying?

So when you say Email, is this a normal CIC thing or this is bec of postal strike in June?

You are welcome. Way before the postal strike, I have read in this forum that most received sponsorships approval through email so I was expecting an email for mine too. I said mostly, because a few have to wait for their conventional mail. You are lucky, no more strikes So either or, you will get it soon. Maybe in a few weeks from now since you just passed your application.

Lol, that was random! But anyway, you are really inspiring others in how you stay strong during these setbacks and we are all rooting for you to finally get that damn approval once the posties send you back your app and you redo it. You deserve that most! I still don't understand how since the strike ended the only substantial thing we've got in the mail was one....yes, ONE...letter (about a late book to the Bibliotheque Nationale). The other stuff was flyers. Granted, it's only been two mail days but still! Really, Canada Post?? So I still don't know where my CSQ is :-\

Thanks...I suppose I don't feel as cheery as I might sound... but realistically what else can we do. We either laugh or cry. I prefer laughing and I can tell you with all honesty that one of the things people remember me for is my laugh I have a sign in my office that says...The most wasted day of all is that on which you have not laughed ;D

As for Canada Post...hmm I don't think I want to get started about them. Ok..I have to now that I said it...LOL...I went there today to send a package (2cd's) to a friend in Mexico and it cost me more than sending overseas to Morocco (much larger package) ?? How do they figure this?

I only received mail once this week...so yea...I am thinking I have a LOT more mail than that...well actually I KNOW that since I have still not received the app yet :

Ah well....I have spent so long on the internet what difference is another year or ten...lol

I had the same question and Darque provided a response that worked for me. I have copied that on here for U.

To log into E-Cas, I have been using my details (sponsor) and Client ID No. from the sponsor approval email from CIC.

Once logged in, I am able to view information / status on both applications (sponsorship & permanent residence)

If there are NO issues and lacking requirements, Manila will only take 3 to 6 months.

Thats really good for U. Accra has some ridiculous time lines stated on CIC but some people who have been approved through that office in recent times have come back to say that they seem to working a lot faster that the CIC deadlines. I believe a couple of people successfully completed the process in less than 3 months!! I hope for the best for ours.

Thankfully we are visiting a friend tonight for bonfire, 9am strawberry picking, afternoon packing and taking a hike in the forest near our home, Sun morning church, afternoon heading out to drop daughter off at camp for a week ;D and all in between laundry and cleaning.

PPR is the long-awaited passport request letter when they ask you to send them your passport so they can stamp it and let's hope to God that everyone will receive it!
