Just checked my ecas and it finally says application received in my VO office.
Received on June 24


There dont seem to be many people with Application received, have they just not posted it, or is it taking that long to get to the VO becase of the strike?

Hey Darque, did you change the spreadsheet, I had added somethings the other day and its not there anymore. I'd prefer things not to get deleted since it takes time adding to it. Thanks

my ecas is still not updated. my file was transfer on the 21st of June but up til now there is still no news or changes.. oh well... just wait and wait and more wait. lol

Congratulations! It's a nice feeling to know your application is finally in the hands of the VO and yes not that many people have had e-cas updates yet. Or they haven't posted on here!

As for the spreadsheet, I haven't deleted anything. Did you save your changes?

I have however, updated dates for new sponsor approvals, added 2 new people (geekneeo & trini777) and added a total days processing time / average. Hope this is okay :

It is very likely held up from the so called back log at Canada Post. Have you called CIC-M to ask them what your file says? Or you can log into ECAS with sponsors name and receipt number to see if it has been activated.

I think they started with 25 May applications so wait this week my friend, i don't think Canada post has relation to this delay

IMM 5401 is the receipt you would have printed out to submit with your app. You should have printed 2 copies. One for CIC and one for yourself. The number above the bar code at the top of this receipt is the number you will use to sign in.

I tried with receipt number shows me they are unable to identify using information provied.
I called CIC-M they told they are strill working on those applications being received on 25 May, told me to wait.

Ok, glad to be of help.

So, wait till Wed or Thurs as the processing times are updated Wed. If it says they are processing at a date after May 25th. Call back. As I was told when I called to call back after the date and they should have the information entered. So if they do not change it from the 25th you unfortunately will have to wait another week to call.

Have you signed up for E-Cas Tracker? It is a site that was set up by a forum member and it will check E-Cas with your information every day to see if it has been updated and will send you an email as soon as it is activated or changed. I only knew they had looked at my file through this service. I am adding the link below if you are interested.

Hey Spicy Mum,

I guess we are close in dates. I had applied on May 20th and today the lawyers got back to me saying June 24, My sponsorship has been approved. I tried to log in but was getting no where as i was using my husbands info. After i read you blog I logged in with my info...I think i'm just getting brain dead now...
anyhow...has anyone said how long till we know that it has reached buffalo? As it says nothing right now...HAs anyone written anything for the time the transfer takes to show the computer that they have it??

mirjahan, my application arrived in mississauga on 25th may also.
my wife got sponsorship approval via e-mail 29th june.
it took us a few more days till it was updated on e-cas, so don't stress it should happen soon!!

They send me a letter but no email.
