Confused... re: RPRF. Ok, so I was in the same boat. I couldn't remember if we had paid or not... turns out we hadn't (I ordered our CAIPS notes). Now - caips notes only tell you as much as what the IO puts in. I also confirmed with our lawyer.
Someone else was asking if you could pay online so I asked our lawyer for her. They said absolutely, pay on the cic.gc.ca site. Print out a copy of the receipt and either mail it or scan and email to the consolate just to be certain they update the record asap.
I wanted to be proactive and pay becase if we hadn't - we would have received ANOTHER bring-forward date which would delay the processing.
And yes, the lawyer had told me that HAD I paid twice, I would have been reimbursed regardless.
Nae Nae - thanks so much. I'm so super excited and yes, still keeping my secret but it's KILLIN me. Funny story. Yesterday afternoon tidying the basement with my daughter (see how I celebrated). Moving hubby's shoes around and I made a comment about how many shoes he has EVEN when he's not home and that we may need another shoe rack when he returns. My daughter says she misses him .... blah blah blah ... and asks "don't you wish you knew when he was coming so we could do our usual countdown like when we go to JA? Like 3 more days until daddy's home"!!!!! What-the!!! ... you guys do the math. She said this yesterday and he's home on Wedensday! I almost passed out!
And I know my daughter soooo well. If she knew anything - she would kill herself to not spoil the joy I'd get out of surprising her so she'd NEVER mention it. Freaky!
Highlyfavored - You cracked me right up. I'm sitting her with tears in my eyes laughing picturing you standing in the middle of the office on the photocopier machine singing the sound of music. But oddly, I know exactly how you feel. Now go write a list of things you need to kill yourself doing over the next 2 weeks and buy some advil (just trust me! lol).
I got the news and that night re-arranged ALL my closets and drawers and linen closet and bathroom and home office ... went to bed wayyy to late and suffered with a 2 day migraine. But it was worth it. haha
