Hello Guys! Will my Oath of Citizenship confirmation come by regular mail or email? My ceremony is on November 20, but I haven't received anything yet.

Hi- How was your interview?

I received instructions via email to appear for interview on October 15th from SCR office.

"
INVITATION TO AN INTERVIEW WITH A CITIZENSHIP OFFICIAL
AND VERIFICATION OF IDENTITY/DOCUMENTS

To attend the citizenship interview in person, you will need:
• Two (2) pieces of photo identification (ID) with your signature on it, such as
o your permanent resident (PR) card (even if it’s expired) and
o a valid government issued photo ID.
• All your original documents that support your citizenship application (as listed in the document
checklist in the citizenship application form).
• Permanent resident card (if you have ever received one).
• All original passports and travel documents in your possession (current and expired).

N.B.: Passport(s) and travel document(s) stamps that are not in English or French must also be
translated.

You will be interviewed by a citizenship officer or agent to verify your identity and the originals of the
documents you provided at the time you applied. You will also be asked to answer any concerns we may
have about your application in order to help determine if you meet all the requirements for citizenship.
During the interview, your knowledge of English or French will be verified, if applicable.

"

Regarding above bolded text, I have some non-English/French stamps in my expired passport. Looks like I I have to get them translated.
Any suggestion where I do this in Toronto? Arabic to English is the required case for me.

Hi- How was your interview?
Well, it did not go as I expected it to.
They asked PCC from home country even though I was more than 3.7 years in Canada. definitely less than 183 days abroad within last four years. The online application did not ask me to upload PCC. Went into little back and forth with the person there. They were not willing to listen and did not show any patience. They said we can not read/explain the rules to you now. We have rights to ask required documents for processing bla bla bla.

They handed me a letter requesting all T4s, NOAs, Lease/mortgage documents/PCC for full assessment period within 30 days. They kept LPP in the tracker as pending/no change.

I did not want to waste more time there, I thanked them for their time.

Mailing them the documents in next few days and have to see what will happen.

Had I known this before, I just could have waited till i complete 4 years presence in Canada and then I could have applied.

sorry to hear that, some officers could be difficult. Question , did you not provide any of these docs(NOAs, Lease agreements) docs during application? Or were they asking for it again?

No, I haven't provided them in the application. Dont recollect the application asking for it. May be I should have uploaded optional documents at the end. but I didnot want to give more documents for them process and create more work. so just uploaded what was requested and nothing more.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Hopefully it gets approved quickly after sending docs. You said you were in Canada for 3.7 years. When you entered Canada 3.7 years ago , had you stayed 6 months in a row? I understand within the 4 years you could only have stayed for only 3 months. But when the entry happened, it is possible for some people to have stayed 6 months plus. Some officers may ask a pcc in such cases.
