Don't feel too bad, a lot of applications have ground to a halt because of the holidays. Seems like where before there was someone getting DM at least once a week we haven't seen a move since christmas.

Hmm, I think I am the only June applicant who's waiting to hear from CPC-Ottawa. ECAS still says "application received". Sent emails to CIC on December 5 and then again January 5 but have heard nothing. Getting kind of nervous at this point.

..I'm still waiting as well I sent a request for my case notes last week so we'll see what happens. They asked for CSQ in October and I've heard nothing since.

Congrats to everyone who is moving forward with their acceptances! I as others was hoping that US applicants would be quicker than I anticipated. I've sent in multiple documents they have requested and as of right now I have heard nothing. I am tired of the waiting and seem to grow more nervous as each day passes. When my email dings, I get nervous and excited all at the same time! I should be thankful though as I am here on a visitor visa and have had the opportunity to be with my husband. Just tired of sitting on my butt, can't wait to work, and really begin my life here. Good luck to all those who are still waiting like me! ;D

Yes it seems as though US applications have ground to a freeze. Haven't seen any movement in weeks.

I'm in the states with my husband as a visitor too.
Just hoping we can move soon.
We are both ready to work and live our own lives!!

Waiting is getting harder, not easier!

Me too,my husband ans i feel like we are in limbo. Neither of us feel we can start are lives together.We are just existing. I am the sponsor here in Canada and my husband is still living in the U.K.

Thank you Ashley .. I am really hoping by the end of March we will have heard something, or our ecas changes to in process or something. It hasn't moved. I received the notes and they haven't started any criminal or security checks yet . I originally applied in April but i missed a document pertaining to my step son so our file was delayed by 2 months. Hence why i am now a June applicant ..

We haven't heard anything since our document request back in October. My husband sent an email asking about the status of our file and got the following response:


"Our office confirms that your application is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization. We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within 6 months as this could delay your application. We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests."

I have been considering requesting case notes. Does anyone know if that has negative repercussions or anything? My husband has been staying with me in Canada since September as a visitor but it's hard since he can't work and doesn't have health insurance.

I feel bad for making him move here. I really thought he would get the COPR a lot sooner. Looks like making him quit his job in the States wasn't a wise decision at all.

Your case notes won't have any impact on your application . I ordered ours and i found out they have lost two of our documents .I sent them an email with the documents attached. Haven't heard back from them but they did acknowledge they received our email.
