Agreed, haha. I wish New Delhi was my visa office, but congrats Abuzz.

Thanks guys! They request the passport early but I've heard they keep them for 3-4 months... So hopefully wife won't have to do any travel during that time. Let's see how long the next stage will take.. I'm assuming I'm at the half way mark of the wait.

Also hope everyone's applications moves along smoothly as well!

quick question, does anyone know if we need to contact CIC if we get engaged? I don't think I would need to since common law is still common law whether we are engaged or not...if we got married that would be important to tell them, but that won't be happening before we get PPR :-) any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Congrats Abuzz - Nice to see things moving along!

Figgy- also I believe congratulations are in order! I am not sure whether you have to notify CIC or not until you get married, but I guess it couldn't hurt to use it as a chance to gather additional proof if they ask for it down the track... Hopefully someone can correct me if I am wrong!

I don't think you should tell them you're engaged unless you plan to get married very soon. I've heard horror stories about people telling them they are engaged while applying as common law. Only to have CIC put their application aside until they get married. Plus being engaged isn't a marital status, so I wouldn't tell them. When my boyfriend and I get engaged, I know I won't tell them.

Happy to see everyone's app is moving along.. Patience to all and Bless :D

thanks guys, I didn't think I was going to let CIC know "if" we get engaged....it hasn't happened yet, but will at some point before the PPR process is over... but as it doesn't change the status at all I won't bother telling them

Hi july applicants, im just wondering if someonr here has same situation with me. My sponsor didn't recieve any AOR or Approval letter.. We are able to access ecas.. And says decision made for sponsor and application recieved pr application..

What does it say when you click on the line decision made under the sponsor? It should open a new window that says when your application was received and if they send you any correspondence related to that decision made.

Since it is has been more than a month that they have sent the letter, you can call them and ask them to resend a new one, or an email if possible. Check that they have the correct email address etc. Depending on how reliable the postal service is where you live, then it might take some time...

However the good news is that it doesn't impact your application, as it has been transferred to the VO abroad the day ( of few days after) you were approved as a sponsor, so you're in the queue no matter what. But of course - it would be nice for you to have the "official" proof of your sponsorship approval.

Good luck,
Sweden
