@ Zia

Study permits are handled through your regional visa office if applying Outland. I believe they would take about 6-8 wks to process outland. It is a different application to the Family class application. However, you will need to provide proof that your child has been accepted to the school/university (need a standard immigration form filled out and they need the original form). There are also rules around minor children. They vary based on the province you intend to live in, some are 18 years and some are 19 to be classed as a minor.

Good luck

Re: JULY 2012 Applicants join here / Letter from Ottawa

Hi, I am sponsoring my common-law-husband from the US. Our application was received on July 31st and is now in CPP-Ottawa. I just received a letter from them requesting fornm 5406 and 5669 for my husband's son. This was already sent in with the original application. I made photocopies of everything at the time. They are requesting originals. Do I respond back and explain the situation and send them photocopies or do I need to have originals done again? What do you guys think?

Also, does anyone know if Ottawa will be processing the applications all the way thru now that Buffalo is now closed?

tks so much for all your help.

I honestly think you should just send what they need and not waste any time. Just my opinion :D

Woah! That was fast Abuzz. Congrats! They need to get the VOs at New Delhi to train the VOs at the rest of the offices to show them how things should be done.
