Can someone please give a brief explanation to what I should expect to receive and in what order in the new system? like:
1. AOR1: is bla bla...
2. AOR2: is bla bla...
3. etc

Me and my husband applied for spouse sponsorship in Jan. CIC received our application in 16th of Jan and send us both an email on the 6th of Feb - I assume that's AOR1? it gives us our UCI and application number and asks us to link our application to our account, which we haven't been able to so far.

Keep in mind that UCI number should be that of the sponsor, not the PA. Each of you will have a different UCI. So if you've been trying to link with that, that may be a problem. Unless they're giving the UCI for the PA in those e-mails under the current system. But when we got ours, it was my husband's UCI. When I use it to log into ECAS, it only works for him. I actually have no idea what my UCI is.

Hi. Cic demand pcc. I am living in australia. But i am indian citizen i takes nearly 1 month to get indian pcc from australia. And cic need that within 1 month any ideas any 1 have same experince

I would recommend sending a case specific message to let them know that you have applied for it, but that it normally takes more than 1 month to receive. Submit a copy of the request for pcc and/or document stating when you are expected to receive it. They will not reject your file because it takes a little longer to process the pcc, but they do need to be notified of the possible delay so this does not negatively affect your case.

Some VOs (including Ottawa) don't send AOR2.

Received AOR1 today and linked the app to my CIC account.
Application received Jan 10th, took a while but at least now I know that the process has started.

Need some input guys. Got our aor February 7th, the email says we have 7 days to link our application. Been trying every single day, different ways of entering data. Still not able to link. Soon those 7 days will expire. Not able to reach ircc by phone. Anyone can shed some light on this issue?

Got the AOR1 email today and was able to link the application to my CIC account. I wasn't expecting the email to arrive on a weekend! The application was received on January 24th.

How long does it typically take for sponsor approval after receiving AOR1?

Good news! There was also someone else here who received AOR1 on a Saturday. I applied around the same time as you so I hope I hear back soon, too! I keep getting paranoid that they might send my application back. Filled everything as best as I could, but you never know!

The average amount of time for sponsor approval (from the day you receive AOR1) is about 6 days right now, according to the spreadsheet.

The e-mails for AOR1 frequently go out on Saturdays. I noticed on MyCIC that mine had changed over the Friday before I got the e-mail.

Twenty-six days and counting for me. I have absolutely no idea why it's taking them so freakin' long. ???

That's horrible! The wait is so difficult at times. I hope you hear from them soon! Maybe you'll be one of those lucky people that just straight up get SA, lol!
