Hey guys need some help, im from pak my wife applied for spousal immigration on nov 2015 to which we are still waiting for visa.

My time line is like diz

Nov 2015 application submitted, got response upto med rec line somewhat in feb 2016, after dat we got sponshor approval decision made line on sep 2016 nd since dan no more updates.
.
Futhere more my wife has also submitted her request for name change almost 7 months ago and also we have sent inquiry mail in nov to which we were replied with in process from cic.
.
My application was submitted by my wife from canada and file was transferred in march from london to vancouver visa office.
.
Need some help what shoud i do now? How long wud they take more time?

I am applicant since November /26/ 2015

On may 2016 i got an email from the Canadian embassy saying that my application file was misplaced and that they couldn't find it and in order to proceed with processing my application i required to show up for an interview scheduled for june 1rst 2016
I went for the interview on 1rst june the officer said the interview was positive and i was required to sent additional files ( files i have already previously sent which they misplaced) so i resent those documents and files

My application is still in the background check since August 2016 ..and still waiting it been almost 15 month since i first applied.

Been waiting for 16 months the last time i communicate with cic was in March 2016, our consultant send them the requested documents on april 25 2016 in which they replied that they received it and now my husband went to the mp and called the local embassy here saying that they haven't received anything from us that they've been waiting as it been pass 30 days but the positive part is they didn't close our application. God is still good to us. I don't know what will happen if my husband didn't went to the mp.

20 months of stressing myself is over! Thanks to God even though we waited for so long he never failed to unite us. To God be the Glory!
