Great news, my husband got SA today :D
Now I'm waiting for my full AIP ;D
There is one new line in my eCAS, "Medical results have been received", I don't know when was the last time I checked the eCAS (probably 2 weeks ago), but it wasn't there then. I will let you know if I receive anything else ;)

Hi Guys I hope everyone is doing great. I havent posted anything since a long time but i always followed.

I am a FEB 17 2014 Apllicant. I got an Email from CIC telling me to do my Medical Examination within 30 days. (I didnt send my MEDs with the app).
I am from Germany (Visa Exempt Country). I am in Germany at the moment due to a family emergency and might stay here for a few weeks.
My Questions is:

1. Can i do my MED in Germany although i am an Inland Applicant?

CIC send me a link wehere i can find a Doctor every in the world. I cant afford to fly to canada at the moment just for the exams.

Thanks guys.

UPDATE: DM on my Wifes ECAs this morning, i am the sponserd person.

I got my AIP this morning, but I was also requested to send a new Background declaration. In the letter it says: "The specific dates you must account for are: FEB 2014 to PRESENT."
Question: Should I still complete the form according to the last 10 years or should I just put the new info?

I'd say do the full 10 yr thing as specified in the form. The lack of completed forms would hurt more than repeated information.

I was also requested to do that almost a year ago (for the duration of time that I had missed in my form) and I did a complete form based on the past 10 years. I think it wont hurt if you do the past 10 years

Thank you for your answers! Only thing I don't know what to do with is the address part... In Jan, 2014, I was afraid that I can't say that my address is here in Canada since I'm just visiting, so I put my address in my home country. But basically I have been mostly in Canada since 2012, I only visited my home country for a couple months. Should I now state that my address is Canadian since Feb, 2014 even if it's not my last entry (it was in 2013)?

The one thing CIC actually advised us correctly on, is when printing out your background declaration forms leave the last date blank and write "PRESENT" in by hand.

That way, they see the ending date as "Present" and they say to themselves "oh what a coincidence, present is today's date, therefore this form is very complete and good".
When they see the ending date as "Feb 2014" they say to themselves "uh oh! they're hiding something! what were they doing while this application was sitting in the application heap? Probably pillaging Somalia!".

It's a little ridiculous that they can't put two and two together, see that they got your application in January, so obviously from "Feb 2014 to PRESENT" you were waiting for them to get to your application.
But that's CIC for you.

Fun fact, CIC is actually where they film the "before" scenes from infomercials. You know, the ones featuring people who can't open jars, peel carrots, or use blankets.

Even if you are just "visiting" your address is the address you resided at while in Canada.

I'm not sure what to say about using your home country address though, you are Inland, so my thought would be that putting a Canadian address is preferable.

But that means that I gave them wrong information in Jan, 2014.... Okay, I guess they will get a nice long explanation letter :p

Definitely state canada as your address now, specially because you applied inland. if the officer finds the address as foreign, he or she may think you have left the country and may cancel the application or ask for additional details. you are staying in canada legally anyway, so for this purpose provide a local address.
