It is my understanding that CPC-Mississauga does not send AOR. They will assess the applications and make decisions as they go. I am assuming that this is a transitional thing and CPC-M will eventually adopt the usual process.
no i didnt sent... actually they aprove open work permit after our application aproved in principle. It will done after aor nd we cannot say how much time it will take. So, we are nothing till we do not have open work permit.Simkr said:i am gonna apply for visitor visa. Did u send open work permit application along with sponsorship application?

azarme09 said:I sent my OWP + Visa extension application w/ PR app for two reasons:
1. It will give me implied status once my visa runs out next month, and
b. OWP is part of the TRV extension application. Sponsorship approval + OWP are usually processed together.
Amazingsho said:I think implied status would not apply to you in case your application sent back to you for incompletion or any reason... and by the time your visa expires you need to pay 200 dollars for reactivation.
please correct me if im wrong
Same thing happened to me, I had to pay a $200 reactivation fee and send my application out again since 1 document was outdated.Amazingsho said:I think implied status would not apply to you in case your application sent back to you for incompletion or any reason... and by the time your visa expires you need to pay 200 dollars for reactivation.

Can you share which document was outdated and for which application? As in, for OWP or for your PR? Thanks!Jamesdavid3 said:Same thing happened to me, I had to pay a $200 reactivation fee and send my application out again since 1 document was outdated.
check left bottom corner of each document for the version code. As long as you applied for trv, there wont be any issue for you even if it comes back. One thing I don't understand is you said you submitted trv together with your app, how could you done that. Cuz trv should be separately applied via online or mailazarme09 said:Can you share which document was outdated and for which application? As in, for OWP or for your PR? Thanks!
I applied trv before my visa expires. Consider current processing delay situation I'd rather pay 100 just for insurance. BTW mine was issued for 1 year as I explained with a letterJamesdavid3 said:Same thing happened to me, I had to pay a $200 reactivation fee and send my application out again since 1 document was outdated.
One thing need to mention is during my stay in Canada for past 1 year I have learned that nothing is guaranteed in this country especially for governmental and professional services. The laid back business culture is the best and worst in this country =)azarme09 said:An incomplete PR application would not affect my OWP+TRV extension application. Your implied status begins from the time you submit your application to CIC. I am pretty confident that both of my applications are complete and especially my extension+OWP application. I also attached a letter from my sponsor (my husband) stating clearly that he will be responsible for my stay until a decision is made. They already have the PR application + sponsorship forms which has the undertaking statement.
Despite this forum being amazingly helpful, I did consult an immigration lawyer and asked him to go through my application before I submit it. Their standard procedure for the cases they prepare includes the OWP+extension application in order to keep the applicant in status while the PR is being processed. They CONFIRMED this information by calling CIC from their office as I was also concerned about this information. OWP+extension costs $155 on top of your regular PR+sponsorship fee ($1040 in my case) and needs to be paid separately.
In short, you will have implied status. As for incomplete OWP+TRV applications, they don't ask you to submit the missing/incomplete documents, instead, they go ahead and reject the applications altogether. Your implied status will stay as long as you are applying for PR+Extension before your current visa expires.
