I heard of someone who got refused because he called in all the time to check his application status and immigration started getting paranoid about why he is so eager to finish his application, it seems that they have no idea that it's just *censored word*ty to wait

I would be downright shocked if that was true.

The call center has almost zero connection to the offices. You might as well be calling Pizza Hut to ask about your application.

Having said that, I doubt the reverse is any different. The person processing your file has no idea about your calling center adventures.

If it's more work for them, they're not going to do it.

exactly. and i would imagine being rejected because of "calling the call center too many times" is not a legitimate reason for being denied. it's important to remember a majority of people are APPROVED, and there really are only a few reasons an officer can reject an application. CIC is not going to get paranoid about a person checking in on their application. my guess, whoever is saying this is either embarrassed about why they were legitimately denied or is just straight up lying.

An October 3, 2013 applicant received AIP this morning in the Facebook group!!

I was actually on the radio show "The Current" on Monday. The next day the other two applicants had advancements on their own files. (They are from Toronto and Montreal) Unfortunately my husband's application didn't receive any attention from CIC. Our file is stuck (for the 14th month) in Winnipeg's small office (though we live in Saskatoon). They asked us for further proof of cohabitation and a copy of our Marriage certificate since we've been married since we applied and the info they have is two years old. It just sucks. It is completely heartbreaking every time I call CIC and nothing has happened. I don't understand how our file is so much more complicated that some people have had PR for a year already that applied at the same time as us but we are sitting in limbo like this after doing everything that has ever been asked of us.
Thank you and the other guests for going on The Current. I thought the show was well done (nice to have a 30min spot on this issue) and all of you on the program were very articulate about communicating the problem with inland sponsorship.
THANK YOU for helping people to understand this issue.

Coming upto a month for landing letter from Etobicoke office. Getting frustrated. What's taking them so long?
is there anything that can be done besides waiting?

Blackdisc.
Like so many other aspects of CIC the landing letters seem to be random at times. I am still waiting for mine since DM Jan 15th.
I called CIC and they sent an email to the London ON office to say I was over the standard 4 wk time limit. I hope to hear something soon.
Best of luck, and try calling CIC to put a bug in the ear of your local office.

Is there anybody who landed in January or February got their pr card??? Its been over a month i m still waiting

Just got the PR card on Thursday, after having landed on January 16th.

We called a week ago and were told the PR card was still at the printer, that it was odd considering it had been over 4 weeks, and to wait another 2-3 weeks before following up.
(It arrived within 5 days of our call!)

It was a good show. Thank you for contributing to awareness.

I like how it was specifically brought up that people applying Inland *are* in Canada legitimately. The general public is astonishingly ignorant of that fact.
I also like how it was mentioned that people aren't discouraged from applying Inland when they can apply Outland, Inland actually looks like a legitimate process if it weren't for the staggering wait time that developed over the past year.

If you paid your fees online, go here: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en

On the top right corner, click on 'View all receipts' link.
You will be prompted to login using your e-mail address. I think this is the same login as when you check your PR status (ECAS).
Once you log in, you will see all the payments you made online for PR process.

$1040 was for all of the fees: Sponsor + Applicant + RPRF

RPRF = $490
