Ditto on that. I applied inland and had no entry stamp. It has not been a problem. I did feel more at ease though once I applied for an extension after 5 months and had the visitor visa in my hands. Just write down the date and send in your new visa application before six months. Someone else...

It is only past residents and non-citizens that would not be able to get a police certificate. As a current cedula holder you are able to, thus you did not waste time or money as it is required.

Did you have a current cedula or criminal charge?

Just FYI, for those that lived in Ecuador, I did not send in a police certificate since Ecuador only provides those to Ecuadorian residents (current) and citizens. I was not asked to send any additional information before my approval. YEAH!

We payed upfront. Just waiting for landing date now. My OWP is still in process so we will see which happens first, processing of OWP or landing. I have a visitor visa through Feb but was told to wait for landing appointment as OWP application keeps me in status.

When people receive DM before OWP approval is there any refund on the OWP application fee?

No, I submitted a paper OWP app. after AIP, so there was no mention of it in the AIP letter except that I could apply. I have a temp res. permit until Feb 2015 so I have legal status and never was out of status. Just waiting.......

I wonder what this will do to the wait times? I received AIP and submitted OWP application 11/24 and still waiting. How long have others waited for OWP after AIP?

This is the kind of experience that should go to reporters. Try and call again Friday, maybe 3rd time is the charm?

Does anyone here have experience with filing the OWP after AIP as I did? How long did you have to wait and is it of any use to call CIC to inquire about it? I sent the paper application because I did not have the code that was requested to be able to file online. Thanks and congrats to all...
