Hi everyone! I just checked my ECAS and it says "decision made" under sponsorship application, but "processing" under application for PR. Unfortunately, clicking on decision made only tells me that they sent a letter which I haven't received yet.

Is this AIP, DM, or are they probably asking to redo the medical or something?

This is your full AIP.

Thanks to both of you for the help, one more step to go I guess. I hope it's a quick one, seems like DMs have come shortly after AIP recently. Hopefully no surprises for us in the letter!

I just received an email stating that my application is currently in the "medical examination" stage. Does this mean I need to include both the medical AND the fingerprints? How much is the estimated cost on all of this?

Definitely schedule your medical exam ASAP. The cost seems to be [generally] between $280-$400, depending on which CIC panel physician you choose. Make sure they use the e-medical system to deliver your results to CIC electronically.

Fingerprints cost ~ $50 +/- (but it's a good idea to get a second set, just in case there's an issue with the first set). Most places offer a hefty discount for the second set. You might as well submit you fingerprints at this time too.

Are you sending them to the FBI? If so, they are currently taking ~ 14-16 weeks to return your results to you.

I'm honestly not even totally sure how all of this works. They stated I had 30 days to do the medical exam, but I'm just totally assuming I needed to do the fingerprints ASAP aswell. When are the fingerprints typically due?

In theory, fingerprints are to be sent in (to the FBI, for example) long before the PR application is even submitted to CIC.

One of the items on the checklist is a PCC for each country the applicant has lived in for 6 months or more since age 18. However...CIC has been `generous' to allow applicants to provide the PCC(s) later in the application process, because it [generally] takes so long to receive them.
