Sadly you are!!!!

:(

I honestly think that the majority of apps will speed up from now on. I am very optimistic, but given the fact that we only paid half of the immigration fee, haven't done medicals since we weren't willing to pay $200 more than once if we end up having to redo it due to delays. But as long as I'm working that's really what's important so we can pay off debt, live a normal life and save up so we can go home to my country and see my family. Am i excited? Heck yes :)

Same here! Hope to hear sooner than the 11 months stated. I just need aip then we will pay the rest. But guess I need to get my work permit app posted now the strike is over!

Since the strikes are now over, within the next few weeks the processing will drop right down back to 6 months or less

Hopefully!! :D

There have been so many AIPs and DMs rolling in over in the 2012 Applicant Thread though, over the last few weeks. It has made me so happy to see that!! :)

We are on the move!!! ;D

Wow, I didn't think I would actually be crying! I am SO glad it's finally over.

I wonder if they will still give a lot of people AIP and DM at the same time as before?
I was planning to go get the medical done in December ish (since I was expecting AIP around Jan-Feb with the 10-11 month waiting period)
but if things speed up either I'd do the medical sooner or just wait for them to ask. If there is a possibility that I would get AIP and DM at the same time though.. I would take it. It would mean I could go see my parents and the rest of my family for their 50th birthday!

Also, our Swedish police report does not include fingerprints, do you think I would have to re-do one here?

Is this statement based on any previous similar circumstances?
They certainly have a biiiiiig backlog to move through if they're only touching October/November 2012 apps now.

Just don't want to get our hopes up for no reason.
