Thanks so much for your reply! I edited my post to include some extra info, guess I should have also included where I live LOL.
We are in Ontario. It's very reassuring to know my situation is normal - it was beginning to feel like they lost my application or something. Sorry but what is AIP??

AOR: Acknowledgement Of Receipt ---- CIC sends e-mail or letter to sponsor that they receive your application and tell you your file number and UCI.

AIP: Approve In Principle ---- CIC approves you as a sponsor and applicant will receive e-mail like this:
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
resident status as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.

OWP: Open Work Permit ---- It will be issued after AIP.

DM: Decision Made

*In case of using a representative, e-mail will be sent to him/her.

Did you also send police certificate of your fiance? About medical. It's valid for 1 year.

Just going through the 2012 applicants and it appears that CIC is now processing applications received on the 17th of December yay!!!!! Its not going to be long till they start the 2013 applications.

yea thats very good I predict that by the week of November the 18th 2013 applicants will start receiving good news if not sooner.

Tell me about it Cirene! You and my husband will be the first two people to know (other than myself of course) when we get AIP/DM! Assuming we get it before you and yours. It should mean that you get yours around the same time if you haven't at that time!

Also, does anyone know if there is a specific day of the week that CIC updates their wait times page?

Did the CIC ask for both the FBI clearance and the State police clearance from the US?

FBI Clearance and State Police Clearance is the same thing. and Yes the CIC requested for that. They sent us a letter asking for the police certificate from the states but when we called the states they mentioned that it is all in 1. It's called the FBI Certificate where they take your fingerprints and then will send us a report of my husbands criminal record.

There is actually a state and San FBI clearance. If CIC wants a state clearance as well then they expect one from your state police as well as the FBI PCC.

I'm not sure about that. We just sent in ours on Nov 1st and we have called both the CIC and the FBI in the states when we received the request from CIC for FBI Clearnance and they all mentioned the same thing that it is just one FBI certificate that is required for immigration purposes unless they have different requirements or rules... I thought I'd let you know
