I got curious reading about the automated service: "you can expect to hear from us October 30th, 2011" OMG. AIP on October 18, 2010. I really hope this is not a reliable service.

When did you submit your application? I tried the system too and it only tells me my application was received August 16, 2010. On e-cas it shows they started processing it last october 2010.

Komar, they are working on it and this is how I know. Last week someone from the embassy visited my husband's family home. (I am sponsoring my husband) to ask questions. He has 2 children from a past relationship. Both children are listed on our application and are currently residing with the grandparents. They are basically looking into whether or not the grandparents and the children's mother is willing to give up custody. The children's mother is a new relationship/marriage and has two other children.

Not sure why they are asking these questions now as we are not sponsoring the children now, but will in the future. Anyone has any ideas?

I also had my landing interview yesterday and it was really easy and casual.
The lady had been to Brazil a couple times, so she asked me a bunch of questions about carnival.
All I had to do was check all my information, make sure everything was right.. answers some questions and sign papers.
I told her I'm planning to go to Brazil June 21st so she gave me a paper to fax so I can get my PR faster =)
Otherwise, she said I can contact the consulate in Brazil and they will give me a one entry visa!

Still waiting on my landing interview appointment from the Kitchener CIC office. Apparently, they only send on appointment letters on the second Tuesday of every month and have landing interviews scheduled for the last week of the month !!! Why cant they send the letters every week !!!!

Hello!Hows everyone? I just got my WORKING PERMIT yesterday . Letters usually comes at the end of the weekdays :so i will apply for my temporary SIN# on monday. Goodluck to everyone

Thanks for keeping us up to date lilly_inland. I am sorry to hear about that though. How did you find out? But maybe they just aren't a busy office so they don't really work everyday. Do you know what days or hours they work? If they work everyday then it really is a shame that they don't send letters out every day. Keep your chin up though and let us know when you hear anything.

By the way, is e-Cas working for anyone today? I am able to put in my Client ID Number and Last Name but the drop down boxes don't work. Maybe they are finally finishing up the new system. And maybe just maybe that is why an update hasn't showed up for me yet.
Hmm...I can be hopeful anyway, right?

Hi LY! How are you ? Stay hopeful and have more patience I understand what your going through and everyone does .... Im really sorry for not having more time in this forum nowadays because I started my french classes 2 weeks back and its hard but im trying to cope up ??? I got my working permit yesterday friday, exactly 43 days and on monday I will get my temporary SIN # and hopefully I can find a part time job while Im schooling . They issued my working permit only 8 mos and it will get expired on feb2012 I guess because my passport will get expired on that month , Im planning to renew my passport this coming AUGUST like 6 mos before expiration : Anyways Im waiting for your good news hopefully by next week and Goodluck!

I am staying hopeful and as patient as possible but you know what that is like. And that is plenty okay, you don't have to apologize for not being on here. Sounds like fun to take classes. I am glad you are coming back every once and awhile to let us know how you are doing. And yeah I would suspect they did issue it until your permit runs out. Strange isn't it! Maybe they will get it fixed and lots of updates for everyone will come through. Yay, wouldn't that be wonderful.

That will be wonderful LoveYoung! I was just reading thru the replies and saw yours about your phone call yesterday to CIC. So your file hasn't been touched since January? You think they are starting to get slower again and the processing time for AIP now will be 10-11 months? I hope not!
