Do you know how long CSIS security screening last? 3 months or half a year or more than one year?

One year ago it was less than 12 months. Currently it is roughly 15-18 months. Processing times may go up or down from here.

SP+OWP, SS since 04.07.2023.
All stages of mandamus passed and it didn't help. Now we are waiting for the judge's decision whether he will allow the hearing or not. It is just unbearably painful, 2 times lost fall intake and a lot of money. In the background, no public sector or government services, nothing at all. And these are temporary visas! Just outrageous! The country is Russia unfortunately

I have been reading this thread for a year now, I decided to register and write to let others realize that they are not alone in this terrible situation.

Congratulations to all those who had the strength and sanity to wait for the long-awaited ppr.

I got my CSIS notes today and my security is still in process after 4 years. But this time round there information is exempted as per the section (21), Section 22(a), Section 22 (b) and 26.

However last time it was written S15(1), S16(1)(a), 16(1)(c), 19(1), 24(1).

Can you guide on these differences?

Average I think it takes around 9 months.

Yes, only CSIS as you asked. The whole CSIS and CBSA takes more than that, maybe around 11-12 months. This is generalized numbers, of course.

CSIS screening really depends on the case complexity. It can range from several months to 2-3 years. In the forum, there was a case in csis from 2019/07-2022/01.

When you applied csis notes? In general, this may be due to the act that you are using for seeking the information, either privacy act or information access act.
