Just called FBI, they are processing 3rd Nov application now.

I got response from FBI today for my e-mail inquiry,

We are currently opening mail from 11/25/2014. Give us a week or two and we can check it again.

I had sent my forms from Toronto on Dec 3rd 2014 via Canada Post. Any idea when the application would have reached? I think it takes 4-6 working days.

Which email did you use ? and how many days did they take to respond to the email ?
My application has reached FBI on 10 Dec, its around the same time as yours..

All , I called fbi just now. Processing 3rd nov as others have mentioned.
My app reached reached on 31st October and she said they will be mailed out on Friday for both me and spouse . I forgot to ask about what the report says . Any idea ? Do they send report of fingerprints were not readable or something ?? Or only when it's all good ??

My application has reached FBI on 10 Dec, its around the same time as yours..

I used mail ID liaison@leo.gov, they responded in about 5 hours.

New to this forum. Why does FBI take so long?
I got PCC from China sitting in USA in less than 2 weeks and from India in 2 days.
Any ways of making it expedited?
This is the only obstacle in front of me now

The current processing time for an FBI Background Check is taking 14-16 weeks to complete from the date the request was received. It can take 10+ weeks for a request to clear our security process before we are able to see the request in our system. At this time, it is too early to see the request(s). If you submitted your request by courier (Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS), please view their website to verify delivery.


Unfortunately, no requests can be expedited at this time due to the amount of work. Please be sure to supply your full name and address when requesting a status update.

My application was received by FBI on Nov 10, 2014 and my money-order has not been cashed as of yesterday. When I called FBI, they told me the payment/charging has started and the processing of my application might take two more weeks to complete. Is this normal? Why does it take so long to clear the payment through money order?

My first deadline has passed yesterday but I have not received any email from NDVO. I have sent PCC from Nepal and India, also the RPRF of CAD 490x2 well before the deadline but waiting for the FBI Clearance. I am really worried that NDVO has not done any communication and my medicals were received 2 weeks ago.

Use CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) for extension .I got response in 13 days time for the CSE.
I also sent request to other email id's.But they did not respond.
Always attach the Docket details of FBI PCC application & Email reply of FBI for requesting date extensions with VO.

I sent a CSE and also emailed delhi office. But no reply yet. Also in the PCC, updated photocopy of passport, and RPRF I have mentioned that I need an extension for FBI Police report.

FBI clearance has become a nuisance for many including me. Total time taken for many from Ottawa VO page is around 120 days for FBI Clearance. That's insane. You might get PR in that many days This is the only thing in front of me now and I have posted the response I got from FBI. I would use this to get extension on my case. But their service is really pathetic and discouraging.

Well , I am also in the queue..by application reached on Dec 8th. CC is to be charged..
