I received my FBI report on Feb 11 2015, below is my timeline.

App reached: Oct 21 2014
CC charged: Jan 8 2015
App mailed: Feb 6 2015
App received: Feb 11 2015

They have mentioned in the report, " A search of the fingerprints provided by this individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the FBI. This does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level." Looking at this, are there any chances CIC may ask for state PCC? Or is this usually mentioned in all FBI reports?

Thanks for the help in advance!

My friend received my FBI report on Feb 9 2015, below is my timeline.

App reached: Oct 10 2014
CC charged: Nov 11 2014
App mailed: Feb 3 2015
App received: Feb 9 2015

My friend sent that through fedex express delivery and it arrived in India in just 4 days although he had to pay 60$ for that...

Submitted all the docs waiting for the PPR now...

Any idea how many days/weeks/months before we get the Passport request?

Thank you johnson.i2000. Yes that was my second one/backup. Initially I was told you could submit extra fingerprints later. Next, someone there told me you couldn't. In the back and forth confusion I decided to submit another application just to make sure.

(By the way on the same day I got this, I also got my visa from the Los Angeles consulate 8) So my process is done. I wish you the best and thank you for your help here.)

Congratulations o_o! You cleared the FBI hurdle and most importantly got your visa! Are you on the west coast? Is this why you received your visa from LA consulate?

I am an Indian. Unfortunately, Indians cannot send their passports outside the country they live in by mail. (They can send it via a person to hand carry it, but not by mail.) I know that some Indians mail it to someone in Canada, and get the visa from CPC-O. So if you are in a hurry do not do what I did. However if you can wait for a month, it is much more safer. (By the way, if the Indian government catches you sending the passport out of the country, it would revoke your passport for 3 to 5 years. There is no mercy.)

I was personally not in a hurry, so I did not mind the delay. All Canadian Consulates do not have the ?? Economic visa Dept ?? -> not sure what it is actually called, that can stamp the PR visa. So you cannot select the consulate to do the stamping, but the country. I told them that I wanted to stamp in the US and the LA Consulate contacted me. By the way, I am on the opposite side of the country, so LA is the furthest from me i.e. I can get into Canada in less than half the distance to LA :).

Thank you. No, I am fine - cold but not snow. I intend to land towards the end of this year. As I said before, I was not in a hurry.

Good point.. I was trying to question the same to several others. I'm an Indian living in NY. just 300 miles away from Canada border ;-).
Now that I'm aware that I should NOT send my PP via mail to Canada.

Do "we" as an application request cpc-o to change the Visa office to NY?
OR
Does VO change it themselves to NY VO?
