Woo Hoo! Congrats Ottawa peeps for receiving your DMs! So happy to see the progress!! :-*

I haven't checked our December spreadsheet in so long since I didn't had any updates but I was checking it just now and it appears to have 2 tabs at the bottom. Which one is the most accurate? Original or the copy? And why aren't we deleting the other one? :o

hey could you please priv msg me when you get a status update for your PR case? i'm also very curious to see whether there's any progress on our december LVO group. and i hope getting an update from our MP doesn't involve a 30-day wait like the gcms notes, lol...

I tried to send you a PM but it didn't work for some reason.

I received my update on PR on the same day of contacting my MP and I was told to wait until the summer 2016, if everything goes well. If there's a backlog in the system, then it should be 17 months (May-June 2017).

There's no wait time at all with the MP. I received the update within a matter of few hours. I was also told that they will contact CIC in 2 weeks (next Friday, April 29th) to get an update on my TRV if I don't hear from CIC until then.

@ Landing_PR, I fixed the spreadsheet :)

It's been a month since they asked me to pay the RPRF and still haven't heard from them.. I guess I have some more waiting to look forward to.

glad to hear that the VO is also expecting to have us processed by the time summer rolls in. there's been quite a few DMs from LVO in the past two weeks (mostly for sept 2015 applicants), so they're definitely starting to move again. the average time from submission to DM still seems to be 7.5 months, so you and i should expect something by mid-July.

your visit to the MP was way more helpful than my GCMS notes, lol. thank you for the update. :)

Hi,

is this thread for December APPLICANTS or December AORs?
I applied in December, the AOR was received by end of January

Yes, I saw that there are only couple of people in September left from LVO. We should start to see a trend in the upcoming months to really guestimate our timelines.

LOL - Thanks...however, not to be a downer, I had submitted for a TRV online in Feb and I still haven't received anything back from CIC. Even though, people from March have received their PPR within a matter of weeks. It's a hit and miss with LVO.

This thread is for December Applicants, where we track/update one another about our statuses. Please come and join us :)

Update on TRV: I was contacted by MP's office to inform that I will have a decision made by next week and it's noted on my application file.

My hunch is that they have declined the application, which is fine. At least I tried to submit it for intention of having few weeks together. Whatever the case maybe, I will update the forum as always :)

Happy Friday! :-*

Hi friends
I have 2 questions:
1- Since I moved to Quebec province recently but my spouse's sponsorship has been started in Ab and now it is in the visa office, is it possible for my spouse to land in the Quebec province without CSQ?
2- If I request ATIP, will it delay the application. And what if the case gets decision made after the atip? will they hold the application till they answer atip or it is a whole different story by another party? ( the application is in the visa office.)

this is one of the most depressing things about this whole sponsorship affair. they keep handing out fast DMs to visa-exempt applicants who are free to visit their spouses whenever they feel like it, whereas the rest of us are made to wait years before a decision, all the while being denied visitor visas so they can keep us separated as long as possible.

i have a job and i can't visit my wife for more than 1-2 weeks per year, and worse yet, i don't have pakistani citizenship so i need a visa to be able to visit her. honestly, sometimes it feels like i'm in a prison...

Exactly! And I totally agree with you about the visitations. I have a job too and I don't want to be spending my whole vacation allocation in one go by visiting my husband for 3 weeks. Also I have a little girl who hates travelling :(
