They obviously pay no heed to our e-mails and we contact our MP every month but he tells us the same thing that it is going through background checks! Never ordered gcms notes though. Planning to email them and ask for my passport back, at least.

Bro please ask for GCMS notes before anything,

Good question! the thing with Islamabad is send more documents to get out of this interview line. Sometimes it can take up to 6 months to 1 year or more. So if you have more info please send it. The only reason they keep you in interview queue is they see something to give an alarm about the relationship. I pray that you get out of this queue In Sha Allah

Salam everyone!

Hope everyone had a good Eid. I have a update from my side .I followed up with my mp office 2 weeks ago and the response I got was the file is still in background checks, and we should follow up again in Oct we are now in 29 months of processing and its getting more difficult day by day .Its a shame that Pakistan has the highest processing time of 31 months. I wish that all of us on this forum can take some action against this timeline. I know in the past forum members have emailed people in Ottawa but their response and action was not that effect .But now it seems like the Canadian Government are on the path of trying to stop immigration from Pakistan ,which is very scary.

I say immigration should be stopped. At least, until they finish all the existing applicants.

In interview Queue since July 2013.... :'( No updates....... :@ I HATE CHC Islamabad....!!

a quick question.

i sponsored my wife who is still in Pakistan. On the application forms, I used the actual home address for her in Pakistan.

but when I check the online application status, it shows her home and mail address as mine - in Canada.

i want all the communication from CIC through me and that's why i changed her mailing address.

is that ok or should I change it to her actual Pakistan address?

I am new to this forum but it seems like this is the only place where i can get some answers from!

My husband, a Canadian citizen residing in Montreal since the past 13 years, sponsored me (applicant residing in Pakistan). CIC received my application for Permanent Residence on December 21, 2011. My husband received his Federal Approval Letter on February 18, 2012 and my CSQ on February 28, 2012. After this there has been no progress made on my case!! No updates on e-cas and no form of communication from their end. My file was sent complete with all my forms, educational documents, medical, police certificate, phone records, emails and photographs of the nikkah ceremony. We applied for a Visit visa in november (before my rukhsati which took place in February 2013) but it was rejected!

Can somebody plz guide me as to how long further we have to wait! My husband is there and I have been waiting here since forever!! I thought it took a shorter time to process applications in Quebec?!!

you have almost identical situation as us except I never applied for the visit visa for my wife and I live in a different province. it has nothing to do with what province you live in as it's a federal case.

have you ever tried to contact CIC youself? I did but it wasn't much of a help.

I was hoping to hear back from CIC by now as November 2013 is the deadline I was given. I wasn't worried until now and it's so frustrating. I just don't know what we can do at this point.

I am not very sure. But, it doesn't look very normal to me. You shouldn't have done like this. They are gonna think that you are very bossy or there is something fishy in your case.
It will be better for you to let them contact her directly for any further information or remed ppr.

it takes 15 to 20 days for a post goes to canada from pak
nd only 3 to 4 days within pak
so that's a another risk
if she get a remed req inshallah then may b she have to face problems in taking sppointment early
as u hav to submit remed in 30 to 45 days time limit
and trust me my brother
she is even more willing than u to move to canada and start a new life there
so if she receive anything from chc she ll not hide or mislead u

Hope u understand my pount of view
good luck
prayers

actually when I filed the application, a close relative wanted to be the representative for her. That person was in Canada at the time. When he went out of Canada, I replaced the representative information with mine.

I never thought it would be an issue until now. I think I should contact CIC to clarify.

I am new to the forum and don't quite understand "remed req"

you got that right, she is more anxious than I am :)

on a side note, did anybody try to find out why it takes longer to process the spousal case in Pakistan than other countries?
