I don't think anyone from Dec 2010 heard anything yet. But we are anticipating that Dec 2010 file transfers would hear something in early - mid January 2012 InshaAllah :)

i don't think so they start working on Jan or Feb 2011 files. my file transferred in Feb 2011, i sent an email last month and the answer still the same file is in Que for review so, not open yet. most probably they open the file after 12 or 13 months.

I checked online and it shows my file was received on sep 2011. However, its the same date when Mississauga received my file. How come Mississauga and Islamabad received my file on the same day?

It must be some kind of an error/system glitch. Your documents were mailed in September from Mississauga to Islamabad. The 'Application Received' date under your spouse's section should read October, maybe November. Actually, click on the 'Application Received' link and you will see the correct date.

Go to this page below. If you are the sponsor than you will fill in your spouse's file number, last name, date of birth and place of birth.

I would like to clear the rukhsati issue once and for all and show you all something from CIC.

It is really important that the guide that is online is read 10 times before we apply.

It is highly recommended.

Below is the guide for Pakistan Nationals.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3907e.pdf

Go to page A-5 and read the Proof to Sponsor "they" are looking for.

At the very bottom it clearly states the following:

For nationals of Pakistan:
•Approximately 15 to 20 printed photographs of you and your sponsor with relatives and friends. Photos submitted should be comprised by the wedding ceremony (signing of the contract or Nikkah) and customary celebrations held afterwards (the wedding reception or the Rukhsati in Urdu). Photos should also include pictures taken of you and your sponsor together on other occasions, for example, either before and/or after the wedding.
Note: Ensure that all photographs are clearly labelled in English or French with the names of the persons appearing in the pictures, the date the photo was taken

I believe this should be enough proof and clears all the confusions.

Nothing yet bro. I think they are doing the initial review for Nov-Dec 2010 file transfers right now and once they are done with them, they would send the initial request of Re-PCC/IMM Forms and in some cases Re-medical. So I am hoping to hear something in mid - end of january 2012 after the initial review is done.

InshAllah, soon. We are looking forward new year, it will be exciting year. ;)

Ok but this only means if you had done it. It's not a "requirement". Not everyone does or did a rukhsati/reception. It's up to the agent now how he sees your relationship. Some get it without rukhsati, some don't, some don't even after everything. It's all case by case basis. Let's not scare people here.
