Stay positive Huma your husband is very very close and he will get his PPR before the medicals expire InshAllah. My cousin who got PPR last week, his remedical was expiring in October as well but he got the PPR last week. Your husband is done with interview, BG checks and everything else so InshAllah soon he will get the good news before his meds expire.

She has got to know me quite well after marriage, so she wouldn't ask me cuz she knows my reply would be similar to this ;)

Ek admi rozay nhi rakhta tha.
Us k peer ne kaha tum roza rakho main wada kerta hoon roz tumhari ek Dua qabul hogi.
Us ne roza rakha. Sara din bari mushkil se guzara.
Sham ko roza khol ke peer ke pas chala gaya.
Peer ne kaha mango kya mangte ho?
Woh bola peer sahab kal subah EID kerwa do… ;D

Well, to be honest, after few weeks, i find my self beyond reckoning. Ohh you know what i just thought of? ;D Next time if they (CHC) are going to ask me for any document, I will delay it deliberately too, to make them taste their own pill.... Genius... Ehhh?

Ahhhh that really worst feeling & i have experienced it thrice till date.... Life is Nasty B---ch ! @ #$%^&*... Pardon my french but this is how it feels.

Seconded!

French has gradually made its way to my list of "Top Ten Worse Things that could happen to you" :D

the thing I had to pull out of the list to make way for french was Lungs cancer.

Congrats so much Wes!! ur long wait is now over...plz do pray for the rest of us...also im just wondering, when we submit the applciatin they asked for the PR fees as well whcih we submitted, so when does this law actually go into affect. And, what status will the spouse have when here, if not a PR status...and does that affect free health care, getting SIN etc? or wud it not have effect on that....now i dont no if u wud no this info, but i jus thoguht i wud ask=)

They reason for that rule is to reduce the timelines so they don't have to do so much background checks and only genuine couples would apply, because they will have to stay together and provide proof of their ongoing relationship for the 2yrs after landing and living together. And only after the 2 yrs they will receive the PR status. I don't know how much that would help the Pakistani timeline. Paki parents would just be happy to get the regular 6 months VISA. My cousin's parents applied for a visit twice and both times it got rejected and they are over 65 yrs old :S
