OMG lol u never send original CNIC sigh stupid call centre peeps, now ask your husband to have a FIR at local police station or if they dont then at least have it report that he has lost his ID card and they will issue him the receipt of it then go to Nadra with that receipt and other documents and apply for another one thats all you can do.

Will it be any good to ask if CHC can send it back to us? I don't know why they told me to send the original if they didn't need it. What is a FIR? Sorry for all these questions just am slightly lost

I also had very simple Nikah shadi, strictly told every one no such thing is acceptable. Plus I had a wish from the day one that it should be done in Ramazan. so Allah arrange the things accordingly and it does happend on 3rd Ramazan. Day time fasting and invited all relatives/friends for aftari at Banquat hall along with Nikah invitation after Aftari than Nikah and than dinner with attendees. Keep the Nikah/wedding simple as islam teach us than Allah subhana Tallah put Barkat in new couples life.

One thing always bother me ke barat ke ane per dhol dhamaka, music, paise phainkna hota hy aur jo behayai hoti hy wo tu apni jagha pr hy aur Nikah ke time minute ke liye music stop kr dya ke g nikah hone laga hy oss pr b ladies dupatta lena gowara nhi krti ke kalam ullah perha ja raha hy aur jaise he Nikah khatim howa saath he gana bajana wapis zoro-shor se shoro. Astagfirullah behno aur bhaiyo dua ke liye ik mahol hota hy rohani. Keep the things simple and there should not be any burden/sooch on girls parents.

I had followed simple things but unfortunately CHC took it other way and consider marriage is not genuine and relationship is not serious.
But me & my Jatti happy as hum ne islamic taleem ko follow kya as qayamat ke din tu her ik ko apne he amal ka hisab dene hy.
I am ok if they dont give her visa even after interview as jo Allah ne likha hy wohi ho ga.Hum ne sub proof de dya jo de sakte thay aur faisla Allah ki zaat pr chor dya ke ay Allah hum tuj se tere he ilam aur teri he kudrat he madid mangte hy aur ay hamre rab beshuk hum tuj se dua mang ke kabhi namehrom nahi rahe. lekin wo kya din ho ga jab qayamat ke din sawal ho ga ke ay Allah hum ne tere bataye hoe tarkee per nika kya aur aj tu in zalimo se poch ke inho ne teri he taleem pr shak kya aur alug rakha husband wife ko aur gunaho ka sabib banya. Husband wife me judai dalna aur families mey jhagra dalna ye sub shi-tani ani amal hy read surah baqrah jaha on jadu-garo ka zikr kya gya hy jo aisa shi-tani jadu seekhte thay jis se mian/biwi mey judai dali ja sakhe, magr Allah ke hukim ke siwa kuch nahi ho sakta aur wo loog apne he hak mey kofir kr rahe thay aur finally on ki naseehut ke liye Allah ne do farishte Haroot & Maroot nazil fermaye jo loogo ko kuch nahi batate thay magr jab tuk ye na keh le ke hum tu tumhari tarif azmaish hy aur ye ke tum kofir mey na paro.

Actually my case has been in process for 12 months but I got married in July 2009, I stayed with him for 2 + months. I applied in March 2010 and I haven't seen him in person since Sept 2009, 19 months. He has lots of responsibilities at home, he's the only male there. So we had thought then that once he applied he'd be here in 6-8 months so that's why I applied late. I wanted to give him time to do what he needed to do for his family. I would love to go back to visit him but unfortunately I too have responsibilities here and I can't go see him

Danny you posted somewhere that you had no idea how hard it'd be to be separated from your spouse for so long. That's exactly how I felt, I had no idea how hard it'd be once I was married. I thought it'd be a breeze and he'd be here in no time.

I wish everyone gets their visa fast .. Its really hard to stay miles apart from your soul mate .. What tough time are they giving us!

There is one thing I'd like to ask everyone here. I had nikkah at masjid and small family gathering at my husband's house where I stayed with him til I left for Canada. We kept it simple and with just immediate family. We then had our walima at a restaurant where we invited extended family and family friends. Do you think they'd make that an issue that we didn't do a grand ceremonial ruskati?

I always wanted a small and simple wedding. Believe me, my parents didn't agree but I really wanted it like that. Did I make a big mistake? :-\

Well I think you shouldn't have taken the risk knowing how picky and fussy people we have in the embassy but lets hope for the best ..

Asking CHC for it will take forever, I am sure your husband will know what is FIR (First Investigation Report) its lodged at the police station against certain incidents, if your husband will inform them that he has lost his CNIC they will probably insist to have just a normal report which is fine as well.
They will write the whole incident on a paper in urdu and then put their initials with police station stamp that will be his proof then he can go to his local nadra office.

I don't have the list with me but from what i remember this is what i sent them as supporting documents:

1) Engagement pix .. (Pix with my mom since I came back to Canada even before the Rishta was fixed)
2) My boarding pass from the earlier trip.
3) Email snaps and some detailed emails from the time of engagement till the wedding ( I didn't care about the privacy, wasn't really too private either as i rarely knew her)
4) Mehendi pix from both Mehendis
5) Nikkah Pictures (Signatures from both sides)
6) Group photos from the wedding (both families and close relatives marked)
7) Reception pix
8) Mehendi / banquet hall/ recption hall reciepts
9) Cohabitation pix
10) My whole family's boarding passes along with my own boarding pass.
11) Facebook status for both. Facebook profiles showing that we are husband and wife (Social proof)
12) Phone and text history since we got engaged
13) Wedding Invitations from both sides.

I might have missed something but someone who's wife was already here before my wedding gave me a list of supporting documents he submitted. So I thought I should share it with the rest of you so those who are about to apply can add it to their list which would make it easier for them.

I just sent them pictures from the Walima, nikkah certificates, pictures of us together at dawats and us at home together.

There was no barat for me, we had nikkah at masjid then a small family gathering at my husband's house with immediate family and I dressed simple that day (kinda like I was at a dawat) It was soooo hot that day, if I had dressed up I would have melted in those clothes). I didn't go back home with family, I stayed after the gathering with husband at his house for 2+ months til I left for Canada. The whole ruksati was simple. The Walima was in a restaurant.

I honestly didn't think this through. I was getting married, I was just happy, over the hills and didn't think what we were doing was going to be a problem later or not. :-[

I did not send close to 100, I sent about 30 or so.

Ohh cmon your husband will be getting the visa really fast insha'Allah so just smile and pray to your Lord

Then why did they want to do an interview in the first place? Did you ever get caips to see why they requested interview?

When I sent in my application I called the call centre and they told me I have to submit the original card so I sent that as well ??? I am guessing I didn't need to but it's too late for that now

CNIC has not much to do with the issuance of PCC...also depends on where your hubby lives in pak...
and if he can prove to police where he lives, they might be able to issue him the PCC

My husband applied for me 6 months after the nikkah and we were expecting PPR in the 9th month *stupid we!*. I then wrote to embassy a month prior to rukhsati that my rukhsati is next month and I reqested them to issue me visa so that I leave for canada along with my husband ... That was my LIFE'S BIGGEST BLUNDER EVA .. embassy asked me to provide pics from rukhsati and reception and i guess they just kept my file aside and meanwhile started working on other files. It was later then I gotto know that an interview would soon be held. I should have kept my mouth shut !!

ohh btw I just ordered caips 2 weeks back just to know what doubts they have ! .. but luckily 2 days back I heard from the embassy through an email that my file is with the decision making officer so em just keeping my hopes high and praying that the interview gets waived and I fly to my husband within coming 2 months
