I personally think they also check that after wedding function how long the couple have stayed together. If u observe no one who has lived with his wife or husband after wedding for a month or two have not received rejection letters.

To be honest i have yet to see an invalid rason for objection letter (sorry if i missed it - i don't read every page and don't come here offten). So far all the members who have gotten objection was either they failed to provide valid PCC or failed to do ruskhati which is one of the main things in proving your relationship is legit.

Also if I remember right I think you said you have benefits for your wife ie medical, dental etc. If I was the officer looking at your file that would raise concern in my mind saying you are trying really hard. I mean come on why would you pay extra money for benefits when she can't even use them.

But of cause I don't know you case so can't assume anything.

Yaar its not me who is paying for insurance. I came back and updated my profile with HR and than company pass all the information to insurance company to retirement plan company saying that I got married and status has been changed please include wife as a depended in benefit and a beneficery of retirement. So all these communication from Company plus from all these companies were provided to CHC. Even my wife is staying there but still she can use the medical benefits she just need to pass the receipts to me so that I can submit to insurance company.

Other thing why I left bhai I had only 2wks vacations policy. I have to prepared & participate for my sister wedding also so almost 1.5 weeks spent with that and than I had my own wedding just because as a big family it will very hard to come again in PK for my shadi especially when every one in college/university.However the actual proposal/engagement took place in 2008 and in 2009 I got married this is exactly what I told them alsong with pic's. while I was there in my sister wedding on all ocations my-in-laws participate and dinners togather, I did provide them pic's for that also. Maximum I can do I had obtaion a letter from HR to CHC attention confirming my vacations validity and indicating that employee called from PK requesting vacation extend but per corporate policy employee cannt take more than 2wks at a given point and the HR attached their card for reference. I could have stayed their but by losing my job. Bhai hota tu wohi hy jo Allah ne likh dya hy so things happend accordingly ub mein kioun aa gya, 2 wk aur reh leta, ye kr leta wo kr leta. these are all useless jo Allah ne likha tha sub asbaab waise ho gye and In future b wohi ho ga jo Likha hy kismat mey.

So these were sad line now lets start the day with some excitment & cheering with lough. Every one plz smile like this

The problem is .............when people marry, its an emotional decision for them, love is in the air and emotions are running high, when they turn to embassy, Embassy wants them to have acted as a seasoned immigration lawyer and have provided all the proof which couples least expected to collect all along the way, unless one is lucky to have a relative or close friend who has gone through this painful process of proving relationship to embassy. they (Embassy) expect perfection from average Joe which is unfair and if the average Joe tries to fix his/her mistake by lets say going back and c0-hibiting, they stick to their initial findings of NO RUKHSATI, not bonafide, no no no buddy u learnt it now you were not like this to begin with ........ now tell me how fair is this on their part. I have worked on legislation and I know how they interpret it and apply on individual cases, for most part its their subjective feelings but in making such decisions they ruin lives ............ at the end it was all going fine until Jason Kenny and Harper showed up and dumped Pakistan into a trashcan where the legislation is only used to victimize not to help applicants. I believe this delay of 21 months average is created to prevent Canadian citizens and residents to completely avoid marrying in Pakistan because formally they cant ask us to do so but there is always a way between the right way and wrong way to get things done your way, this is way of conservative party

Vote for the liberals only because if you vote for NDP, Neither the liberals or the NDP would win and Harper would come back to make our lives a living hell once again. The Conservatives have been the most ridiculous on all levels. They lie, cheat and cover it up in a way that makes you think that it was the best possible solution/action. I don't think I would be off if I compare this Govt to the book 1984 where the Govt (Big brother) is watching every move of yours and if you even think agaist the Government you are doomded.

Yes we did all 3 functions, as well as family dinner etc. We did not send them any thing voluntarily and only contacted CHC two time during this whole process. Once they said it was in queue to be reviewed and 2nd time they said they have mailed in a letter (which turned out to be re-med and PPR)

I would rather surrender my voting right than giving it to conservatives, I actually discuss politics within my social circle and convince my friends to vote liberal although I like NDP better but I know in the fight between Liberals and NDP, Conservatives will win. I am at an advocacy level for Liberals not just one vote, what frustrates me that Desi people dont realize that they have a role in choosing any party they are caught up in their usual self centered Pakistani way of day in and day out, most of them dont even know what is each party platform on different issues and I am talking about the educated one's leave alone the rest

Become-A-Loner. Very true bro, time to time I do read Law for my own knowledge even though its not my field. What I understood there is always a cross reference to check to validate the situation because not all the time a victom or applicants full fill the 100% law requirments/obligations. So there is always a cross reference to satisfy the requirement.

I have a visa officer process manual. It says there if one piece/information is missing than check the past cases or current in process cases to see the trend for that missing piece/information. If the missing ration is reasonable its mean as per culture/religion/law it is option to do but not mandatory. Some do some dont.

Do a cross check with the explained reason, supporting documents, joint banks account, joint insurance policies, join retirement plans, joint property documents are strong evidents.

If above piece/information past/inprocess ratio is less and there is no supporting documents and reasons explained than send a letter to applicants for more proof.

If required information/proof is provided by applicant process the file accordingly, If not satisfied information than schedule a interview.

This is exactly what the manual shows.

Good you knew what to do to begin with, if you dont mind telling that you indicated arranged marriage on your forms with engagement and some previous history or love marriage, if arranged marriage did you have proof of relationship before nikkah or not.

I agree with you on this to some point but you can’t say they don’t give you a chance to prove your relationship after objecting. If CHC wanted they would have rejected 1 2 ka 4 application based on not “living together” aka Bona Fide but they only objected and asked him to come in for an interview to prove his relationship is legit. Which to me is giving average Joe a 2nd chance

Not everyone does the home work before getting married and why would you? You have such a big day coming up, your excited, your friends and family is finally together after so many yrs, so looking at CHC is the last thing on your mind. But again you can’t blame CHC for this. Every one has rules to follow and I can’t say or comment on if they have “subjective feeling towards making decisions” because I have not met any of the officer nor have I seem them in action.

Funny that you mentioned how Pakistanis are caught up in their usual self centered way. My dad was telling me the same thing yesterday. We were talking about how we don't really do anything beside a 9-5 job and the house matters compared to the Indians living in the neighbourhood/city who are so much involved in the society/politics of the country and have so much unity. I would make sure all the votes from my house go to the liberals. Heck, I even told this guy off who wanted to put a conservative sign outside my house and let the liberal guy put his sign on my property right infront of him ;D
