and also while sponsoring they do not accept nikha only cases done outside Canada why is that anybody know? does that apply for marriages done in Canada as well? One of my friend did Nikah only marriage in Canada and mentioned it in sponsorship that He was married before so now what can he do to get legal separation papers since it was never legalized here at first place? Does that marriage considered valid marriage in eyes of CIC? Whoever can help it will a khaair for this couples.

Marriage is legal for CIC purposes if it is legal in country performed unless it violates one or two main things like marrying someone less than 16...basically if a mainstream Islamic marriage...no problem.

The reason nikah only is generally not accepted is for fraud reasons as its sometimes considered a paper marriage.

I'm not sure...I'd suggest discussion with lawyer as polygamy (more than one wife is illegal). Also I think just nikah without a marriage license from government in your province is not legal I Beleive as marriages in Canada do need registration while overseas marriages cannot be registered so nikah form is enough.

Can any of imagine ........... that 2 years and still for most of us who are waiting from 2010 ...... they did not start security checks ....... with no reason ............. they missed their own due dates ..................

i applied for GCMS notes in June and thats how i came to know that my case is in Interview queue. Last month sent a request to transfer my file to CHC london got an email back with generic answer but not really sure weather it has been transfered or not.

Apparently not, none that I have heard of. How do you know that you are in the interview queue?
