The time starts from AORstuckhere said:is the waitinmg time being counted from the day they transfer the file or the day they send out the AOR? it seem from this form that generally its taking 14 to 16 months for ppl to get PPR....and they get re medical or re pcc request in abt a year from their AOR yet the website says its a 20 24 month wait?
oh so sad to hear that, may be writing this to CIC will make them expedite. Hope he gets well and you both live happily together soon.stuckhere said:Has anyone here added a dependent child after their application was filed? My daughter was born march 2011 and we got approval for her as an add on to my application this july. will i recieve an AOR for her too? Does adding a child delay your applicatiob if so by how many months? im really worried ever since they made average time 24 months. My husband was diagnosed with multiple seclrosis and its a progressive disease with no cure so essentially these people are robbing us of the good period in our marriage where hes still able to live normally :'(

I'm sorry to hear about that. May Allah give him relief from MS! It is tough as it is to be away from each other but to also have one of the partners have a sickness during this period is just just really makes it difficult to manage! Maybe CHC ISB can at least process your case faster if you can provide them with his medical reports etc. I think you should send them the reports and see what they do. There is no harm in trying.stuckhere said:is the waitinmg time being counted from the day they transfer the file or the day they send out the AOR? it seem from this form that generally its taking 14 to 16 months for ppl to get PPR....and they get re medical or re pcc request in abt a year from their AOR yet the website says its a 20 24 month wait?
24 is just an average number. People have got their cases done in 12 months, some in 25 months, some are waiting for ovre 45 months. My wife's been in process for 19 so it varies case to case.stuckhere said:is the waitinmg time being counted from the day they transfer the file or the day they send out the AOR? it seem from this form that generally its taking 14 to 16 months for ppl to get PPR....and they get re medical or re pcc request in abt a year from their AOR yet the website says its a 20 24 month wait?
stuckhere said:my husband contacted a lawyer there to ask if we should and if that would expedite our case..but he said that we should keep this info out because they can think that in future we'd claim disability and therfore make problems for our case.
