BUFFALO APPLICANTS - File transferred to other VO due to Buffalo closing down

Based on the reading in other threads, it looks like there are a butch of applications sent to LA, Seattle, NY, and Detroit VOs just before Buffalo VO closed down. And these folks are getting PPRs now. So, it may be safe to claim that these folks are lucky. For those transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa, no PPR was heard yet.

Down the road, Ottawa may transfer some applications to above VOs in the USA to reduce the workload. Just guess.

I really hope so. Though I believe that we will eventually have to submit our passports to one of the VOs in the US for visa stamping (I hope this time comes soon)

Guys I just received my gcms notes .Its print date is 12 July.The details are as follows:
Eligibility - not started
Security -not started
Criminality - in progress
Medical - passed
Due date - 20 Oct 2012

So I guess I will not be hearing anything before 20 Oct right ?? Because I was planning of visiting my home country and coming back on last week of Oct. How many days do people usually get to send their passport after ppr request ? Will there be any issues if I leave the country before ppr?..thanks

My file got transferred to Ottawa on July 7th and I was looking at around Sept 7th, but it seems most people got their files transferred around the same date. It seems more like a batch transfer and is highly unlikely we all will get PPR around the same date.

New line added in ECAs---Application is in process from 26 JULY and same day, 26 july, i received email from VO that he need current address of my brother in law-----they gave me deadline, 26 August, to reply email with requested information --I sent same day----I hope now some thing come up around 26 August---my file transfered to Ottawa on 16 MAy -paper file and 09 May soft file

Under which section does it say due date Oct 2012? What is the last comment made by the Visa Officer under Notes?

Well , Oct 2012 is mentioned under Eligibility , Security and Medical ( all three !! ). The last comment under the notes is regarding the file transfer to ottawa due to closure of the original processing office. Whats the due date on your application?

the information in NOTES in my GCMS is just the facts they sent AOR/ME by email on April 25, 2012. That is it. So I guess it means no VO reviews it ans no fingerprint left yet.

It seems that we both have the exact same dates for our files going to In Process as well as file transferred to Ottawa.

This is the second case among the transferred files in Ottawa I have seen went IN PROCESS. Most likely they have got all your documents except the address, now that they have it you may hear something very soon . I wish we will see the first PPR this month.
When have you noticed the ECAS status change?

I submitted my application long time ago, April 7, 2011. I did the medical exams on October 24, 2011. My file got transferred to Ottawa on July 7, 2012 and now I'm waiting for a miracle. Because my room mate who applied one month after me he got the PR card yesterday.

I think the due date they put on the GCMS notes it was done by the Visa Office in Buffalo.
