As i said in my earlier post, the print date on notes i got today is July 5th. And MP told me three weeks ago from today that means it was after July 5th. Also my application turned two months after transferred to Ottawa on July16th, so i strongly believe they started processing in mid July.sharuu said:When did you contact your MP and were the notes printed before or after he got back to you? If the notes were printed after, and according to GCMS they havent started processing your case then something is off as MP told you they started processing?.. I am intending to get my next GCMS after Sept 7th, so any processing done after that date should show. I am hoping by October I hear something from them.
I hear you man, but unfortunately we can't do anything but to wait.. My file was suppose to go to Ottawa for background check in last December but it went to Ottawa in May 2012 and that only happened when i contacted buffalo program manager directly else it wouldn't have been there. After Ottawa received my file they didn't do anything until mid July 2012 (2 months not touching my file) and sent the file for BG checks... They waisted my 8months, doing nothing on my file... that is unacceptable. I have sacrificed lot of opportunities like you, i applied under foreign student with offer letter stream of PNP ontario and i have to be with this employer until i get PR, that is totally unacceptable.. first PNP said PNP cases are faster and processing completes from 9 to 15 months, and now they waisted my 8 months doing nothing and now they ask me to stick with current employer for endlessely .... I got my PNP certificate back in October 2010 its almost been 2 years then why to stick with same employer... i don't understand..curt_cobain said:Yes, I saw his post before. His went in process on July 30, I think that's the only positive sign I have seen from Ottawa .
PNP stream from 2012 are going IN PROCESS these days and people are complaining after Medicals they are waiting 3/4 months. At first it pissed me off, later I realize this used be the general scenario. I think its been an extreme situation for applicant like us. I can't move ahead for this pr and getting behind 1 year. I can't justify my situation and how Ottawa is neglecting us. PNP applicant in 2012 has been put IN PROCESS and mine is still application received. If I applied it from outside and going along with my life and wait until I get PR, that would be a different case. I have sacrificed so many opportunities and living this province for years to get this PR. I am sorry for my nagging. But where else I can get some consolation? Obviously Ottawa is not going to hear me. Is there any way to make them realize that we should not be left behind and should be giving priorities over 2012 PNP applicants. Look at the example of Seattle.
I know that's the worst part. What makes me puzzled is they are putting IN PROCESS to PNP 2012 applicants (I am happy for them). But how can I justify that I am still with "Application Received" status. This is a clear violation of Rights, I have been waiting 20 months and chose this over so many good opportunities. I thought the overall process will take 12 months. I can understand CEC stream is different, but how can I justify this. We are all in the same stream, than why treat us differently. Why we have to wait two months to open our files and then start the leftover processing from the beginning. Makes me feel I am a guinea pig to their experiment and whimsical system.shaikhaffi said:I hear you man, but unfortunately we can't do anything but to wait.. Can we ask our MPs to help with making the process faster for us.shaikhaffi said:I hear you man, but unfortunately we can't do anything but to wait.. Have you tried getting GCMS, in some cases they might have updated medical received for your file but forgot to update the ecase status or try to contact your local MP.curt_cobain said:I know that's the worst part. Well in most cases they do favour you but it depends why the case is stuck, for example if the case is stuck because of BG checks than they won't be able to ask CIC to expediate the process but if the file is sitting idle for no valid reason then MP's can push CIC visa office.curt_cobain said:Can we ask our MPs to help with making the process faster for us.
Sorry I may have given you wrong impression :-[ , My ECAS is application received but inside it shows medical received. I was getting impatient to see 2012 PNP applicants are getting IN PROCESS. Now that you mentioned the new rules, yes I can justify my case now and will blame my luck . Thanksshaikhaffi said:Have you tried getting GCMS, in some cases they might have updated medical received for your file but forgot to update the ecase status or try to contact your local MP.
To your another question how you justify your case is simple CIC alway come up with new rules and often with system upgrades, therefore they will apply the rules which were enabled during the time we applied for PR and new applications will get new rules (often simple and fast)... Also don't forget our files were transferred from another visa office which also adds couple of months on top of it.
If you say, its already been 20 months and you have done your medical than i am positive they have updated the medical results in your file but forgot updating the ecas.
if it says Medical Received in it than it means your medical is passed, ask for GCMS to be sure... Its now only matter of assigning case to visa officer and you know CIC is slow during summer but don't worry you will hear from them very soon. Do you know when your file get transferred to Ottawa?curt_cobain said:Sorry I may have given you wrong impression :-[ , My ECAS is application received but inside it shows medical received. I have called the CIC customer service during the first week of June and they said my file is in Ottawa. I will get my GCMS next week and can confirm then.shaikhaffi said:if it says Medical Received in it than it means your medical is passed, ask for GCMS to be sure... I totally agree... it's all dependent on the visa office and the visa officer! I'm pretty sure Ottawa is on its way to becoming the next Buffalo...bkd1969 said:today another folk with India VO got vissa. He sent application to CIO on the same day as I did. Now got visa and my file has not been touched yet in Ottawa.
The whole process is not difficult as demonstrated in this guy case. Criminal or security is not issue. The problem is no VO touches your file.
Well, CVD, it looks like you and I have the exact same timeline! WOW.cvd222 said:I totally agree... it's all dependent on the visa office and the visa officer! I'm pretty sure Ottawa is on its way to becoming the next Buffalo...
Based on the reading in other threads, it looks like there are a butch of applications sent to LA, Seattle, NY, and Detroit VOs just before Buffalo VO closed down. And these folks are getting PPRs now. So, it may be safe to claim that these folks are lucky. For those transferred from Buffalo to Ottawa, no PPR was heard yet.bkd1969 said:Well, CVD, it looks like you and I have the exact same timeline! WOW.
I dont think they will transfer out of Ottawa. The whole point of Buffalo closing was that the files needed to be worked on from within Canada, that is why they setup the Nova Scotia Office as well.bkd1969 said:Based on the reading in other threads, it looks like there are a butch of applications sent to LA, Seattle, NY, and Detroit VOs just before Buffalo VO closed down. Down the road, Ottawa may transfer some applications to above VOs in the USA to reduce the workload. Just guess.
