I think you should fire the lawyer who is giving you bad advice

If he needs a lawyer to fill out the application forms, I'm not sure he's qualified for citizenship in the first place.

well ofcourse. it's dependent on other bills as well. Economic Action Plan 2013 Act, No. 1 and Bill C-425

check the coordinating amendments section.

Can you explain this part more? (What does that exactly means and which clauses applies to that)

C-425 is another bill to amend citizenship act that is in the house right now.

But here they are talking about certain clauses not the whole Bill ... so how this will result in delaying the enforce of the other clauses? (I mean related to new citizenship requirments)

chances are they may put their effort into c-425 now after c-24, so that all changes to the citizenship act happens at the same time. again, i am saying "chances", not surety.

It's also now irrelevant as it will only affect about 8 people. This is what we call a "red herring".

I am really terrified of this whole thing. I thought I was going to be ok and apply. what do you think should do, should I go ahead and send my application (when I look at the CIC webpage it says that you can apply but a CJ will make the decision on your application) its not fraud or anything it is basically having less then 1095 days of physical presence, to be more specific 1084 days. or should wait I will have my 1095 days by July 10.
am worried because my passport expires soon and I have no ways of getting a new one with out having to go back to my country and that is impossible.

you should definitely apply with at least 1095 physical days. don't depend on CJs because they may not be there next year.

I should be good to apply in 3 weeks too. my lawyer is saying I can apply now as he is sure the law will be passed and take effect by next week. I`m not sure what to do. what do you guys think :(

Your application will be rejected or you will get an RQ with judge hearing if you apply less than 1095 days.

Your lawyer is a nut crack, don't hire him.
>:(

sicko86 & chakrab thank you both, I have been thinking about this all last night. I just told him to cancel the application as I will wait till I have my 1095 days but unfortunately he will not give me back my money, he only cares about getting the payments not what is right for me. he told me the law will be 100% passed next week and I will loss my chance :( he is causing me more stress then any thing els in the world
