Hi, I applied for a family citizenship application (2 applicants). Applicant 1's status: Background check in progress since August 2023. Applicant 2's status: Everything completed except the oath - not started.
My question is, will applicant 2 receive the oath ceremony date before applicant 1, or does IRCC hold applicant 2 until applicant 1 clears all requirements?

It used to be the case before where if one applicant gets stuck the other would also get stuck. But these days it's getting processed independently in many cases. Looks like it would be the same in your case too.

Hi, Did anyone receive an oath request recently? Approximately how many days does it take to receive oath request once LPP is completed?

So, after our interview on the 19th I saw that LP was completed. on Friday (21st) I noticed we had been scheduled for the oath on July 5th, and P and BG was completed on the day on the interview (19th).

We still have to receive the email.

I encourage you all to:

1. Submit webforms
2. Request ATIP (GCSM)
3. CONTACT YOUR MPs

I really can't recall, but I think I just mentioned that our file hadn't been updated in 7 months and we wanted to understand if there was anything else we were missing.

I am still waiting for updates. Its been such a long wait.

Applied August 21, AOR Oct 11, Citizenship Test Completed Oct 23. No updates after that. Tracker shows BGC & LPP all in progress. Never received any email for fingerprint till date.

I reached out to my MP, and they told me the criminality assessment is passed, but the security assessment is still in progress. Because that bit is processed by the "third party partner", there's nothing they can do. My application hasn't been touched since passing the exam in November, this is so frustrating.

Same here. BG and Prohibitions in progress. SCR office. Had my interview on Apr 4th which followed up with L and PP done. Frustrating as hell.

tried everything (ATIP, webforms, writing to Scr office, MP, calls) but all in vain.

The only thing I can do now is wait…

Same here Sywaseem, frustration at peaks. I tried everything you mentioned but no use. I am trying to find people with similar issue to understand how long it will take? But I see people posting about this issue and later they are not active.

For this question- Have you ever held travel documents or passports during your 5-year eligibility period?

do we have to attach a copy of Canada PR card as well? Since it was used for traveling to canada?

Same here Sywaseem, frustration at peaks. I tried everything you mentioned but no use. I am trying to find people with similar issue to understand how long it will take? But I see people posting about this issue and later they are not active.

I am in the same boat brother. Its been been 10 months 1 day as of today and no updates after the test updated on 16th November 2023. I tried reaching out to MP, GCMS notes, mailing scr office and all responded saying once in BG in progress no one can help unless they are done with their process.
