Help me out here!!

Im panicking, i re-submitted my updated docs on Oct.23rd and got a recepit from canada post of delivery. So from than till now i called cic 4 times of any news they told me you have to wait 48 days from the day you submitted forms, so then why am i getting a letter in the mail today saying please submit your forms.

Also, do we know the dates they do their shut down in Ottawa? The officer mentioned they do a holiday closure and of course he didnt ask for the time frame they did. Lol

Husband called CIC today. Folks we have SA! She said we weren't notified because the VO sending out the notification which would be Mississauga (?) Was backed up.. Officer also said they'll be in contact with me on or before January 27th!!!!

Oh no, I'm not sure what to do in this case... Hopefully they can find it but it sounds like maybe it got lost !

I was thinking that way too.. But that's why there's a return address so they'll return it to us if ever it won't make it to the destination.. Oh my.. I'm just hoping it didn't got lost.. I'll try to call again for an update...

Hi all, We just received finally today a letter from CIC indicating SA. It was a very long waiting process--we submitted our documents initially in early August. We had received previous notifications from CIC (i.e., to request the August form) via email, but this notification came via snail mail. Very happy to have it!! Now we wait for the second part. When did you send in the application in August, because my thought would be that they would've contacted you for updated forms seeing as most early August applicants had to do that but if they haven't then they must of lost it? Id try to call again and find something out but you may have to re file..

My MP's secritary looked into it for me today.... Aaaaaand drumroll pleeeeease...NOTHING. found out the exact same thing as I did when I called yesterday. SA is taking so longgggg...this sucks

JUST WANTED TO CHECK IF WE CAN TRAVEL ON A VACATION FOR 2 TO 3 WEEKS AFTER WE SEND SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP FILE TO CIC. WOULD THAT BE AN ISSUE IF I GO ON A VACATION FOR A WEEK OR 2 TO VISIT MY FAMILY IN INDIA.
