Also, do we know the dates they do their shut down in Ottawa? The officer mentioned they do a holiday closure and of course he didnt ask for the time frame they did. Lol

I'd love to know the answer to this also.. let me know if you find out msbigshot

When did you send in the application in August, because my thought would be that they would've contacted you for updated forms seeing as most early August applicants had to do that but if they haven't then they must of lost it? :( Id try to call again and find something out but you may have to re file..

Thank You! We sent out application August 25th.

Yep i'm gonna call again soon.. I'm praying it didn't get lost.. I've sent it August 15..

Hmm, do u think I should call again and tell them that or wait a few days to see what happens? It seems like these call agents dont have too much information or power to do anything though :( Maybe ill have Better luck with another agent???

Hi.

CIC received our updated form on 14 October 2014 and we got our SA on 13 Nov. My wife, the sponsor called them about every two weeks to request an update. We got our SA just after she called CIC. Try calling them and maybe you will get lucky :)

Yeah see thats why nothing they say makes sense. On the website it ways they are working on applications received SEPT 29 which obviously isnt the case then since u already got yours and yours was received after mine. I called yesterday and my MP's office called them today and we both got the same answer

When my husband called on Monday the officer he spoke with said that the people who receive SA later than most is because their application for SA and PR was adequate and did not require any more information. The officer also said that people who get SA earlier usually require more information from their VO and that's why they are contacted so quickly. We waited about 80+ days before we heard anything and then that's when the officer relayed that information to my husband. Please do not quote me on that as every officer differs-however, this is the SECOND time a immigration officer explained that situation to him. So maybe the application is moving ahead with no worries and you'll get SA eventually very soon! :)

WOW because that makes perfect sense. If you don't file your application right you get rewarded with a quicker SA. Those who do it all right have to wait. I can't even begin to comprehend this lol...

I agree and that was my thought as well, but he was explained that scenario more than once so I thought for TWO officers to have a similar story it has to hold some sort of weight.... All that means is our application at the VO will hopefully fly by and PR will be granted sooner than later

Mine wasnt adequate because they required that new form and im still waiting for SA so that cant be true hehe I think the oficera just tell ppl what they wanna hear so that we stop being annoying and stop calling all thetime Lol. Hehe itsfunny how we are all disecting every little thing and trying to Solve this mystery like a bunch of little detectives when in reality their prob isnt anything to figure out because of the lack of consistancy. How come u guys got to speak to an immigration oficcer? All i ever get to talk to when i call is a Call operator :(

Excuse my language but what the fuuuuck? Seriously. Oh, so here's an "adequate" application, we'll make them wait a bit longer because we won't require extra information. ??? ??? ???
Thanks CIC for putting a perverse smile on my face every day.
