Yes we were denied may 21 2015. Appealed June 2015. They say to wait 2yrs. One yr is close and I am completely pissed. We watched over 25,000 refugees ( yes they need help) come before one husband. And now they say family reunification is their goal. They talk and don't act. I voted Liberal cuz they had a.great immigration platform. My MP can't help. We are persevering.

Well I received aor on Dec 30th 2014 and I sent application on July 11th 2014. CIC requested updated form in Aug it was sent and then I received an email that application was complete however on Oct 8th they requested another updated form then Dec 11th another email stating application was complete on Oct 19 2015. So Jan 6,2015 our application was sent to Havana Cuba. Interview Jan 4,2016. Denied March 22,2016. Appeal sent March 30,2016. Yup 1year 8 months and a denial We will celebrate 3 yr Wedding Anniversary Sept 2016. Denied because CIC agent in Havana says marriage is not genuine.

Same here, denied cuz they said wss not genuine. I spend more than half our marriage with husband by the time interview happened. But VO was already going to say no. She didn't like age and religion differences. My husband knows me and my family, my career, my coworkers. She lied and said he didn't. That was may 21, 2015. Am trying all I can do to make appeal fast. But nothing working. MP cannot do anything.

Omg it's almost the same for us. She look at our photos...Saw wedding and Caftans and ppl dancing. Saw more and then asked where's the food. Flipped the page saw ppl eating..."Oh" and saw a pic of us on the beach lounging and pointed to my neck crinkled. Ghastly like, "What is that?" And points. Your wife is old.
Pathetically jealous VO. My husband is beyond good looking and who does she have? But it's the hearts that matched first. What I don't understand is I choose to meet and marry my husband at 43-44. I chose to sponsor him cuz I want him to know my family. He wants to meet them and know them too. And I am approved to sponsor. It's all on my dime. Not that my husband would let me pay for all. But they approve me and his medical and police all good. And one person can still no. Then...after.they say no they want you to divorce. But we don't want that. We want to share a life together and we appeal. But to appeal.it's a minimum 2 yr wait.in Saskatchewan. So once you appeal it's a few more.months waiting on top of that for processing...and new medical.and police. It's not an easy fix. But we are doing it. Just wish it would be faster. One yr anny of refusal is the 21st. We got 11:30am for.interview time. I knew it wasn't long enough. She only talk with him about 20 minutes. Makes me so mad. She made a lier.out of both of us.
Sorry you had to get.treated that way too!

Thank you and sorry to hear your spouse was treated the same. I am 68 and my spouse is 55. I am in PEI so our appeal will be in Montreal and I understand that it may be 2-3 years before we get an appointment. It is expensive travelling to Cuba. We are hoping for an ADR as it will be quicker and address the reasons in the denial. Wish you the best of luck Please keep in touch and let me know how things progress for you.

I see nothing wrong with your ages. We all have alot of lover and life to share. They treat us like kids, like we don't know what we are doing. I really hope you get adr. Seriously some of these VO''s need to give their heads a shake. I will for sure keep in touch on here. Best wishes

You have to realize that most of the Refugees had been in CIC system for 8 to 10 years...its something like 3% that came from camps...the rest have been waiting like the rest of us..

The wait they endured is not the same I know.
