hi everyone,

i am planning to send our application form and all requirements this September in Mississauga.
but i have a big question,
we've completed already all the requirements and forms.
i'm jobless right now because pregnant, i can't work yet. that won't be a big question right? as long as i will attached a letter telling about my condition? I AM THE SPONSOR anyway.

please help me, what should i do? or what to tell them?
I was recommended by a member of this forum to write an letter explaining what my plan is to support myself and my husband if needed - employment situation, assets, etc. They are not supposed to refuse you based on your income, but on the other hand, you still need to show that you have a plan to keep your family off welfare.

I too am jobless right now as I just moved back to Canada after 3 years living in DR, and I'm a teacher, and for those that don't know, teaching in the GTA right now is ridiculously difficult. I just sent them a copy of my Bachelor degree showing I have the qualifications to teach and sent them some emails I had with principals about interviews, and also I printed my online jobs for teaching that I applied for, a copy of my job letter from my boss for the last 3 years, and finally a letter from my parents stating that they will let my husband and I live with them and help support us as long as is needed until we can get on our own feet.... Just tell them what u plan to do. If your husband will be supporting u all, then tell them that and maybe show a bank account and pay stubs or anything u have.

i am working before but when i got pregnant, i stopped. so i just include all my past pay stubs?
and just a letter from my parents where we intend to live until we can get on our own feet, just like on your situation as well.
so that will all be good? just a letter of explanation will do?

aw, thank you so much. got more ideas.

Yep that's what I did. Haven't been approved as sponsor yet but only submitted last week. It should be more than enough. Good luck

Make sure your forms are the latest version (they have been updated since the February 2012 forms)! This is important because your application may be sent back if you have the older forms. Some of us already made that mistake and I don't want to see anyone else do it :(

Specifically check IMM0008 and IMM1344 forms - make sure they dont say 02-2012 (Feb 2012) because there are now newer ones!!!!

thanks again!

I'm so happy! ;D Although we haven't received yet an approval letter from CIC. My husband got an AOR from his e-mail. I hope in the next few days we'll be receiving the approval letter. Stage 2 here we come!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Yep!

Update.......

Yes my whole application was returned, and no I didn't get any number, or return deadline. But I did call to ask if I still had to wait the entire sponsor period again, and lady said no, I should be flagged when the application comes in.... Which was mid august.

She said if I don't hear anything by mid September's to call back then she can do something. This takes delay down from 3 extra months to one....

So thanks for all your suggestions. But now, seeing processing time reduction, I'm thinking of calling sooner.

Cheers to all!

how many days it took? aw. so blessed. goodluck!

Our application was received last August 2 and the AOR just today. Less than a month. Exactly 27 days. :) Must be they are really working so hard and live up to their goal that family reunification is their priority. :)Good luck to all of us. Lets just stay positive and soon will be re-united with our love ones. :)
