I share the same anxiety as FS and Rosie.. Looking back, I made so many mistakes on our app. I've second guessed myself if I sent the Option C Printout or not, I didn't write "Spousal Sponsorship" above the CIC address so that makes me wonder if it even ended up in the right bin... and I wish that I sent more proofs of relationship. Oh and to top it off, I think the FBI check may have expired before the app made it to Mississauga and my husbands $500 medical will definitely have to be re-done since he did them too early (or rather, it took us too long to finish the app). I guess the old "the grass is always greener" applies here too.

And since I moved over the weekend, I'm now really anxious to inform CIC of my new address in case I get an AOR in the mail, but my name isn't yet in the system (which just confirms my worries that CIC doesn't even have my application!) I laughed when the call centre agent told me that the 82 day processing time is wrong. Well duuuuhhh it's wrong! We all know that! lol.

On the bright side, the long weekend is behind us and CIC only has one direction to move in... forward! Also, this is the last Canadian long weekend we'll have to deal with while waiting for Step 1.

Sunshine are you in Canada? We all went through those anxieties it is completely normal hang in there it gets a little easier!

Wow I can see I am not the only one the waiting game is getting to, what a process this is ! I read someone got approved from April 6th, is this true ? Well I am expecting to hear something around the 3rd week of July since our app was April 17 I believe. Hang in there everyone, we are almost there and thats always the hardest time to wait, soon we will be singing like the March thread :)

Where was the April 6th approval? I know someone got an AOR for April 16th.

A few pages back but I don't think it was real. I think someone started a new account just to stir things up.

I have added New Delhi 2012 Application Chart based on the spreadsheet Information.
You can also access it through "New Delhi - 2012 Application Chart" sheet on the spreadsheet.

So another day and nothing for April. Damnit! CIC is the slowest organization in the world!

I have 90 days and 100 days on my calendar. If the 82 day figure on the CIC website is way off, what should we expect? 100 days? Or will it be even longer?

The other question is in regards to the backlog at each visa office (there's a separate thread). Hong Kong has a backlog of something like 2,700 applications. So, how is it that my wife is reading of cases very similar to ours being processed in 3-4 months? Does the HK visa office open the applications and prioritize them? Or is it all just a matter of waiting in line? It would seem they prioritize, because how else would some applicant's be approved so fast while others take longer.

A lot of those apps are probably stuck in a different queue. Ex: extensive background checks, waiting for interview, waiting for missing or incorrect documents. Apps going through appeal, etc. Don't worry - regular cases go through processing pretty quickly.

New Dehli has 3959 and people from January have already landed or gotten their visa from that office. Mexico is only 450ish so that is good.

Ah, okay...so then for a normal case, it shouldn't take too long...and I guess that's why those cases that are similar to ours get processed within 6-7 months including the sponsorship approval waiting time.
