can. ott relax brother, your documents are obviously in the embassy, we definitely know what your situation is at the moment, but brother if you havent heard about the medical, you havnt even heard of the rejection na????????????????? so be positive i applied on 3rd may through tcs and havent heard a single thing about my case. you said one of your friends got medical and applied on 10th, so i should be worried but i am not because its not in my hand now........... so what ever will happen to us will happen for the good. so plz be positive still there is enough time before starting the september session and the embassy must have started its work for the sep session now so plz lets give them some time and lets not panic.................. see what happens in the month of june in shaaa Allah everything will be fine......... :) lets not stop praying for each other

guys take it from me (someone whose been rejected once already), if its taking this long it most likely means your application is being processed.

My first rejection didn't even take two weeks. It never even passed the initial checking. So if it takes this long, stands to reason they have passed initial checking.

@echelon99 are you applying again? CHC-Islamabad?

Need Suggestion Please................!

I applied for the study permit through a Consultant on 3rd May . According to my Consultant, they dispatched my application file using TCS or maybe DHL service .

Since the date of dispatch (3rd MAY) till today, i haven't received any Acknowledgement e-mail regarding ( receival of application file) or any other correspondence from CHC ............... Is this situation normal ? or am i taking it too lightly ?

After applying for the study permit through TCS OR DHL courier service ... Did you guy received any Acknowledgement e-mail from CHC ?
( just hoping that my documentation file is in safe hands )

Yes, sent out another application a week ago.

No, not CHC ISB. CHC Colombo.

Agree with you, the TCS officer guy told me that once he sent a study permit of a female and it was sent back in one week because she had not signed her passport... it means that there is an initial checking system and here T$ is also right that may be the time taken is due to the scanning process. lets admitt this guys because we all have annexed so many documents with our applications.......... more than we even were asked to attach :P so now there is nothing to be done except waiting and praying for all.......... however, we all would agree on this that online system is faster than the paper based.... :)

If it helps for all to know, yes there certainly is an intial checking system, though it is not guaranteed how long it takes, but certainly not more than a month.

I know this because my application failed that intial checking system TWICE (not any fault of mine at all, rather incorrect requirements mentioned on website or in the embassy response).

First, the day your application is received at the Embassy, it is opened and first page of your primary form is stamped for the DATE of receiving. If you submit same form multiple times, you would probably see multiple stamps, each for the date of reception.

Please understand the difference between an INCOMPLETE application that was returned vs a REFUSAL.

Incomplete application is determined in the initial screen i.e. you have paid correct fee, filled all forms, attached all required docs, signed stuff etc. If an application is returned your FEE IS NOT LOST and the embassy does not keep any record of the submission. You just fix what was required i.e. embassy does send a letter along stating the reason of being incomplete and you are expected to fix and resubmit. So your only cost is time + tcs or fedex.

A file is only created after an application is complete and is entered into the system. If you correspond with the embassy, they will probably give you a file number at this stage (if they respond at all).

However, the actual review of your application by a visa officer for acceptance or refusal is yet to come. If they decide against it at that point, your fee is not returned as far as i know and there is little chance of success in applying again unless there is a significant change in your circumstances.

So all of those who haven't heard back yet, can be sure THEIR FILES WOULD HAVE BEEN CREATED. You can verify this by sending embassy an email with all of your details i.e. name, dob, courier details, passports number, phone and address.

However, you cannot be sure IF YOUR CASE HAS BEEN REVIEWED BY VO OR NOT. It is possible that it is not reviewed yet. But also is the possibility that it is reviewed and refused, but they haven't sent you back the refusal yet.

Hoping that helps.

In my case, it was the requirements listed on the website that got me into trouble, as NOT ENOUGH documents were sent out.

However, instead of asking for more information, my application was rejected outright.

i.e. They asked for ONLY the date page of the passport in the online application, yet rejected me because of my travel history without ever looking at another page of my passport. How could they use that as a reason? Why didn't they ask me for scans of the rest of my passport etc?

I could not do much but send another application, this time with as many documents as I could and pray its enough. Let's see how things turn out, inshallah they will lead to visas for all of us!
