Salaam to Muab and everyone else. Congradulation for the interview. It's worth a mine of gold. I have this question to musab and all of you: Why did it take you sooooooooo toooooooooo long to be called to the interview ???????? Do you blame yourself or Immigration Canada ? Were there any mistakes, wrong, incorrect and untrue information in your applications ? What's the real story for this too much painful delay ?

I don't recall any mistakes really, unless I'm wrong? I mean there was one document that needed to be translated which we completed and submitted immediately after the interview but that was 10 months ago. 2 months ago, my hubby got a call from the embassy asking if he was still currently living in Damascus,Syra and that was it.

Hi Guys,i applied for spouse sponsorship 31st may 2012,file transferred to Delhi office on 24th july, received passport request on 21st August 2012.now waiting for next step......ecase showing application received,medical results has been received...........Any comments plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

why it take so long to call me for interview because it wasn't my turn until today, when i first send my application i didnt send that much of pictures or documents thats why i think they want to make interview with me to make sure the relationship real, my application under the process for 17 months and 22 days, and been almost 20 months since i applied, insha allah my interview will be good and i hope they give me the visa same day or after the interview in short time because i just dont want to spend time with my wife on phone or skype anymore, i want to be with my wife, i hope you all hear from the embassy soon.

You never know, I ordered mine and it gave ma glimpse of hope because I realized they have looked at my file in June July and august for little things, but they at least they looked!

okay, i got news from the embassy i want to share with you guys.
the embassy called me this morning at 9.10 am and tell that i had interview 7th Oct 2012, and then call me again at 10.31 am asking me to bring some documents.

- Your original passport.
- Original Marriage certificate.
thats what i got hope you guys hear good news as well insha allah.
thank God for everything.

Why was your file transferred to Delhi Office from Amman Office ?

Salaam fellow Iraqis,
My file was sent to Amman and not to Damascus in May 2012. That's because of the situation in Syria. Is there anybody whose file was sent to Amman during this year was called for any interview ? I heard it happened to few but I'm not so sure.

Salaam my friend and congradulation for getting the visa. You say: " they take all passports from Sunday ..................." my questions (spousal sponsership):
1- Did you go to the Embassy without appointment or call for interview ?

2- My spouse is in Iraq and if she travels to Amman now , will the Visa Office in Amman take her passport and give her the visa without being called for an interview ?

My friend, please write us exactly what is happeing in simple words as this will be helpful to everybody. Wa Baraka ALLAHU BEEK

His interview was in Damascus at the time so I believe it would be different to the interviews in Amman. Anyhow, his interview was very general. Questions were basic, nothing to worry about. Interview lasted about 15 minutes. "Why are you planning to go to Canada, who do you have living there? " etc..

i need you advice guys, well as you know they only requested my original passport and my original marriage certificate for my interview do i need to bring more evidence such as pictures emails....ect, or only bring what they requested.
