Wow! so glad to hear so much good news of people getting the PPR even though it has taken so long! i usually don't comment and read updates of what peoples status is because i really have nothing new still waiting for my husbands PPR to start processing.

But reading of people who have finally finished and are to be reunited in Canada with their loved one gives me so much hope and INSHALLAH for all those who have come or those still waiting like me will have a happy and joyful life.

today AMMAN VO called my wife to ask her to redo her medical exam which was expired 3-4 months ago....NOW we really have hope, a call from the embassy is enough even if its not about the ppr....but still im happy
so good news from amman is comiing

she said that she tried to get as more info as possible about the file but they were too general and just explaining that its now transferred to amman bcoz of the closing of the Embassy in Damascus, and they told her just redo the medcial exam and wait for ur turn

so yeaa im happy cuz we can see that they looked at my file atleast

okay, i got news from the embassy i want to share with you guys.
the embassy called me this morning at 9.10 am and tell that i had interview 7th Oct 2012, and then call me again at 10.31 am asking me to bring some documents.

- Your original passport.
- Original Marriage certificate.
thats what i got hope you guys hear good news as well insha allah.
thank God for everything.

Hopefully this is good new for you @ abdmoh! I'm only 3 months behind you so I really hope I hear somthing soon! I did get in contact with my MP and I will be sending the consent form to him for him to get information. Hopefully this helps out but I know it didn't do anything for a lot of people.

no they didnt ask me redo the medical but i redid it on my own back in Jan, they just called to inform me about the interview then call again later to bring documents, do you think they will issue the visa after the interview or i need to wait more i dont know.

Hmm I guess it's different for each case. My applicant completed his medicals and interview on the same day back in December and still hasn't heard a thing since then.

You should inquire about ur case. looks like ur file has moved then stopped again. I think MP help will be efficient in ur case. did u order the CAPIS notes to see what is stopping them

Believe me, I have inquired to the point where I've been told to not send any more emails...I have also tried to contact my MP by email and by phone ( they were absolutely useless) promised me they'd follow up and find out more information about my case, nothing happened after months of waiting. I have contacted CIC aswell, many of my questions were just answered generally, each representative was giving me different answers each time. I sent an email to the Canadian Embassy in Amman Jordan, after 19 months of waiting in the last email they sent me, I got a one sentence reply stating "Your application is still in process at our office. We will notify you once we are ready to finalize your case". Last week finally, I decided to order CAIPS/GSMC notes, I will wait and find out what is going on. The ridiculous process has costed almost 2 years of years of my life. I have promised myself that I will not for once be thankful for what the Embassy has done (if we ever get a PPR) after all this stress. The love of my life is currently suffering in Damascus, Syria and is fighting for his life to survive the bombings and shootings happening just 5 minutes away from home. It is to risky to attempt to cross the borders to a near by country. We have been informed that this will cause a longer process time, moving to another country. If anything happens to him, God forbid the embassy in Amman will be in big trouble.
