I know... it's just anxiety. I still have almost 30 days in my work permit, but I want to land as soon as possible :)

Just called CIC asking for my passport. They said they received, but my file doesn't have a note stating that the passport was delivered. Either I have to wait until next week or send an email... crap!

Yeah! It's been more than 2 weeks and nothing so far. I'm tempted to give them a call. It's not a big deal, but I saw others who sent their passports after me and they got them back successfully already.

More than 2 weeks and no news. Next week is also long weekend :(

Isn't your time as Work-Permit holder counting towards Citizenship anymore? I thought that the new rule applies to everyone getting PR after July 2015. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I was hoping to count 1 full year of PR after having 2 years + of Work Permit.

I think it's about criminal inadmissibility. They removed it, so you're good :D Probably your PPR is taking time because of your background checks. If you have travelled a lot or you home country is lazy about sending what CIC asks for, it might delay your application a bit. Just keep faith...

Hey! Don't worry. You're totally fine. I did send my passport along with the e-mail, but what they want - basically- it's a a way of identifying your application. That's why they ask for the e-mail. If you quote your application number, that's fine.
