My passport was received last March 5 and my tracker has not been activated yet. What's taking it so long!

Same here buddy. My passport was reached there on 6th march and still return tracker is not showing anything.

March break might have affected the processing.

I noticed that our visas were stamp 1.5 weeks after they received it.

Hey friends,

My return tracker got activated yesterday evening. Passport reached there on 6th march so they took 3 weeks for visa stamp. just FYI
:D

Sent passport yesterday March 24th, received at CIC today March 25th.

My tracker got activated tonight. Goodluck to everyone who are still waiting.

My passport also reached Ottawa on March 12nd. Hope I'll have some news today / tonight.

We received the passport request email in Jan 8th, 2015.
We sent the passports to HongKong in Jan 13th, 2015.
Today is March 27th, 2015, we are still waiting.....

We sent emails in Feb. and Mar., they replied and said our case is still under 'Review'. (They didn't response to our last email.)

Is it normal? or is it possible they can still deny our application after 'Passport Request email'?

Any suggestions would appreciate!

Technically, Passport Request means you were granted with CoPR. However, a few things could happen that prevent you to become PR:

1) Rejected in the border.
2) After sending your passport / receiving CoPR, CIC finds that you were involved in an incident that requires court intervention. If that is the case, they will ask you to send back your CoPR or probably holds your Passports until the situation is clarified. Someone in this forum had this issue after getting charged with speeding and DUI.

Hope it helps! I wouldn't worried too much. It's just an embassy and they are probably running out of resources to process your application quickly than the normal processing time.

Finally received our passports and CoPR today.

There are some issues in CoPR,
First: My Original entry date is wrong but I guess it can be corrected while landing process.
Second: Nothing mentioned on "Last entry at" on my wife's CoPR. Can I get this fixed during landing process or I'll have to send it back to CIC??

please advise.

I have sent Passports today and is expected to deliver on Monday 30th March

Same here buddy.. ;D just sent them around 3 pm..
So most likely we have the same time frame. 8)

Seniors we need advise.. Just reposted this one for we have the same situation.. :(

Please advise if someone has similar case.

Currently I am in Canada and my wife is residing back home, outside Canada. I added her during my PR processing and she did her medical from back home. 3 days before I got PPR email. As per that I sent my passport to CIC and emailed CIC to advise me where to send my wife's passport as she is outside Canada. However, I have not received any reply yet.

This morning I contacted CIC call center, and I was told that once my paper work would be completed and I landed into Canada, I have to notify landing office regarding my wife being back home; only after that she will get PPR call from CIC.

I am not sure if I should wait till then. Please advise what to do in this case? Should I wait till I land?

What are the other possibilities so that my wife can send her passport asap.

Thanks in advance!

More than 2 weeks and no news. Next week is also long weekend :(

Got our passports and COPR. However, there's a mistake on my initial entry date. I believe this one can be corrected when we land. We plan to flagpole this weekend.

Best of luck to everyone!
