Hey veeru5, I'm still waiting for my PR card since April 5th. The processing time is reaching almost 80 days, so I would encourage you to request a travel document right away (20 business days). Most likely, your card won't show up on time. Good luck!

Landed on April 5th and called CIC today. They told me that my card is scheduled for production on July 2nd. I'm about to explode out of frustration.

Wow. I'm shocked. Every time I'm right there, they change the date LOL. Now, I have 63 days, so I can't call tomorrow and ask because they will say that I haven't reached 64.

ECAS doesn't show the PR card status sometimes. Actually, 80% of the cases aren't reported in ECAS.

I think it's confusing because the title says: "Travel Document - Permanent Resident Abroad" but it certainly means that you are "returning back" to Canada and you don't have a proof of PR (example: your card). Here is the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp

No need to confuse others, the one confused was me after hearing the recording (CIC). Hopefully, I'll have some news at the end of this week. Otherwise, I'll keep calling them non-stop. Thanks and +1.

Just called CIC. It's been more than 7 weeks and I still haven't received it. They said that I should have news by the end of this week, but my card is in the queue (still). So, I guess I'll receive it at the beginning of June (2 months since I landed).

Just print a copy of your PPR email and enclose it along with your passport/s. I also wrote the application number in the envelope (exterior), but it's not required.
