    COPR and coronavirus

indeed, it is very encouraging that @smithplato has had his file reopened. I wonder, why nothing happened to @Canaspirant xyz file yet? His COPR expired even earlier. By the way, my COPR expired yesterday...trying not to panic. I also recieved generic response yesterday to the web-form I raised...

Thank you for the link. But they specifically wrote me and offered two options: 1) Reschedule with additional 30% discount. 2) Change my travel destination at a specific price.

As for Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, they will refund within 3 months (they answered me), as for LOT, they can only offer me a voucher. it is ok for me as long as I recieve the refund from Lufthansa and Turkish.

    COPR and coronavirus

The thing is that at that time, when I raised my first two forms, my tickets had been cancelled by airlines and I was under travel restrictions of my country (exemptions were put in place only a week ago) and Canada (exemptions were announced only recently as well). So even under this...

Is Germany accepting international transit passengers? Has anyone able to fly though Frankfurt recently? On IATA site it is said that Germany is closed with several exceptions including those who transit through their airport BUT on they way to their home countries.

    COPR and coronavirus

I recieved the cancelation message today, but I have already raised two web-forms(2 weeks ago) and recieved one generic answer and one specific answer saying "write to this (Warsaw) address again as soon as the situation normalizes". So I am not sure if I must raise it again before my visa...

So....my third flight has just been cancelled. I booked LOT going through Warsaw on 18th of April, but Poland has just extended flights restrictions till 26th of April. My visa expires on 21st of April. The shitty thing is that borders are open on both sides for me: as a visa holder I am exempt...

There are no kitchens in hotels, are Canada authorites expecting me to order cooked food every day? I also looked into AirBnb - there are a couple of units with kitchen, but most of the postings are with shared kitchen (I don't want to expose anybody to be infected by me due to using common...

I have just found a clear answer to my question on a neighbouring thread - I will definetely need to self-isolate and not mess with the CBSA officers trying to negotiate my stay. Posted by user Beltex "OK, STRAIGHT FROM THE HORSE'S MOUTH - Just spoke on the phone to a CBSA agent and his view...

    COPR and coronavirus

I don't understand, how can I infect anyone in Canada, if I spend only 24 hours in this country not even leaving the territory of Airport? I will be put under quarantine in my country for 14 days upon arrival and it is fair, because I intend to stay there for another 3 months and to exclude the...

Oh, that is bad news for me because I already booked my return flights right the next day after arrival. So if I show my return ticket for next day I may be refused PR???

What will be the consequences of the soft landing: if arrive on 18th and fly back on 19th without leaving the territory of the Airport? Do you think I must tell to the officer about my intentions, when he will ask me about my plans on self-isolation?

    COPR and coronavirus

My country declared State of Emergency but PR visa holders are exempt from the ban, so I can travel, great news, but... almost all the cities are on lockdown and even if there are flights, you simply can't "sneak" into the city and get to the airport. I am locked myself at a mine site at the...

    COPR and coronavirus

In case of soft landing - what if I return home immidiately after landing is cleared? It doesn't make sense to me to extend my stay in Canada only for 14 days self-isolation, but on the other hand I don't want to mess with Canadian authorities

I initially was also going to travel through Amsterdam or Germany. Not anymore. Looks like the ban in my country will be extended and I will not be able to fly.
