There is no way to get application updates over email or phone by CIC..... CIC themself will contact you via email once your application is accepted(called as PER)

If an applicant is already in Canada, does he still needs to send Proof of Funds?? CIC website says below clearly, which means if you are in Canada or have an arranged emplymnet offer, you dnt need to send POF..... still wanted to double check :) You do not have to show that you have these...

No Buddy. I had sent one application under my NOC(2174) on MAy2 and it was returned due to Birth certificate issue. Thereafter had sent another application with an affidavit in lieu of BC…. Waiting to hear back updates on my 2nd application(which sent around mid June)
