    Heard only good things about Victoria Island in general, and since its so close to where i will be living (Vancouver) I'm sure i would visit frequently. I've also lived in Hawaii, 7 years to be exact, so i know a bit about islands you might say, lets see if Victoria "matches" up! :)

    Agree on the cellphone & data plan, likely one of the first thing i will pick up when i land as i would be out and about pretty much everyday initially taking care and registering for things, got the TomTom app for my phone which would help with driving initially also :)

    Hi, send in your application without it and with a note saying that you have requested it from FBI and will send it in later. They will ask for the FBI certificate later on in the process at the same time as they ask for your passport. No need to delay sending the application

    No, i don't have a car here actually, and i didn't have a car in New York either. Had several cars though when i lived in Hawaii, 2002-2009, just looked and i no longer have any documents from back then, as far as insurance. But is that needed?

    my wife is also chinese (HK) and we got married a few months back. In our case, we had a priest that wed us, then we registered with the government. Both the priest and government wanted a "proof of no marriage" in English, which she was able to get here in HK.
