    Procedural Fairness Letter

From your description, that's exactly what happened, except that the failure was not failing to declare you in 2019 - but rather as soon as you became common law, sometime in 2020. (One year after you started living together). The PR information states clearly that the applicant MUST update and...

Legal Status in Canada - Inland Spousal Sponsorship | Can my husband just cross the border and come back to reclaim his status?

Thanks. I'm sure I'm not reading this correctly, but I don't see where this says that those out of status are not eligible to apply under outland. All I get out of this is that they would (may?) not be eligible for the public policy [effectively staying removal and allowing their app to proceed...

Legal Status in Canada - Inland Spousal Sponsorship | Can my husband just cross the border and come back to reclaim his status?

Didn't know that. Where do you see this? And yep, that would be a reason, a good one, for those in that situation.

PRTD - proof of the residential addresses of the person you are accompanying

Just use your judgment about what you can provide - lease, utilities, official documents, we don't know what you have. I'd suggest 2-3 documents covering different periods in those five years, include a short letter saying you lived in the same place during all that period.

Can we submit passport for stamping in different country VAC?

Yes, you can submit it in India (or anywhere in world with a VAC). You need to be there enough time for them to process and get it back (2-4 weeks in most places, don't know specifically about India.

PRTD with COPR and no residency obligation yet

That's the first I've heard of IRCC sending stuff via other companies during the strike!

Legal Status in Canada - Inland Spousal Sponsorship | Can my husband just cross the border and come back to reclaim his status?

Personal opinion: now that outland applicants can get a work permit if in Canada, the advantages of inland are minor, and the disadvantages can be significant. You have to decide based on your own circumstances. But unless you can identify why inland is better - then, outland.

That's what I think. He should check with a lawyer.

    Spousal sponsorship

Sorry as I think I phrased that poorly, just to clarify. I presume the divorce certificate has the effective / legal date of the divorce (date the divorce order comes into effect). It may also have an issue date (the date the certificate was physically printed, basically) - that shouldn't matter.

    Spousal sponsorship

I do not know precisely the answer to the question. I have my guess (somewhat educated guess, but a guess) below. YOUR FRIEND SHOULD CONSULT A LAWYER TO CHECK. If I'm right, this is a fairly easy answer and won't require that much more inquiry or additional steps. But the correct answer may...

Outland Sponsorship: Wife In Taliban Occupied Afghanistan

They do not look at place of birth in marriage certificate to confirm place of birth, it's only a minor detail (assuming other documents confirm identity). Just write a short letter of explanation about the discrepancy. If you care about the uncertainty, I'd move to Ontario BEFORE submitting.

I do not understand your question. Did he ever get the divorce certificate? Why can't he get it?

    Spousal sponsorship

I think you are overthinking this here. 1) The 730 days in five years is already quite generous. Like, hugely generous. If someone isn't ready to move to Canada in, say, 2.5 years, they probably shouldn't do it at that point at all. 2) Will the 'residing with Canadian' work for this scenario...

2 quick questions about birthplace / previous name

    1) Try it and see. You're not going to get in any trouble for it. 2) I'd put it in the other name section even if redundant - won't hurt.

Inquiry Regarding PR Status and Sponsoring Spouse After Returning to Canada

It's probably mostly to do with the number of prtds that are for those (seriously) out of compliance with the residency obligation, I.e. where the determination is actually whether the applicant is worthy of h&c relief or loses pr status.

PRTD with COPR and no residency obligation yet

He is already in compliance with the residency obligations. Check the form for how to apply. Simplest way to understand: as long as he is OUTSIDE Canada LESS THAN 1095 days in any five year period, he is in compliance. Since the first five year period is from day he became a PR to five years...

TRV approved after PR visa added

Do not submit passport for the TRV, it serves no purpose. It just got processed and notification out of order. Just forget about it.
