Why are there so few people in the spreadsheet?

Yes, I think he just meant ignoring those points when calculating applicants' standing in the pool.

Why are there so few people in the spreadsheet?

That's a fair point, I intend to look into it later. I actually think that more people added themselves to FSWP 2014 in the early months than the later ones, but I'll have to see if this theory holds or not. As for not everybody wanting to enlist themselves, I don't think it explains anything...

Why are there so few people in the spreadsheet?

It seems to me that the percentage of total number of applicants in EE spreadsheet is significantly lower than before. Today, 9 months later, FSWP 2014 spreadsheet has around 5500 entries and is estimated to contain 20-25% of all the people who applied last year under that program. On the other...

    Next pool open

Unfortunately, nobody knows yet, but it would be reasonable to expect it by the end of February (CIC said they were planning to do 15-25 draws this year, which means there should be a draw once a month or more often).

    Consultant giving job offer

To be honest, the phrase you quoted doesn't even explicitly state that the consultant claims to help obtaining a job offer. He may just be offering to explain how beneficial having a job offer is. :)

Low(er) Scores? Why You'll Still Get ITA under EE

Does this number (146k) include LMO-exempt workers or not?

Low(er) Scores? Why You'll Still Get ITA under EE

First of all, like other people said, Australia has a very different scoring system where no factor gives as much as 50% of the max score. Canadian point system is, in my opinion, needlessly inflated. Also, according to the OP, the first cutoff score was 75, not 65. Canada definitely has to fill...

Ministrial Instructions for the draw are out

Don't lose hope. There just can't be THAT many people with job offers. Don't forget, people on a work permit were/are all eligible, so the first few draws will have people who received their LMOs in the past years. Once they are cleared, there will be few LMIA holders in the pool.

What Documents are needed to respond to the EE ITA?

Thanks a lot! Could you please clarify, do they still require certified copies and translations? Also, have you assessed your education? (So, now they ask for the medical exam right away. And apparently they no longer ask for the diploma and for the IELTS and WES papers)

What Documents are needed to respond to the EE ITA?

People who received ITAs in January draw, could you please share which documents are now required from you by CIC? I'm specifically interested in the following: 1. Does CIC ask for any documents that weren't required last year? 2. Does CIC still require reference letters from jobs? 3. Does CIC...

Low(er) Scores? Why You'll Still Get ITA under EE

I'd rather not find this out. :D I think that most LMIA holders were invited on this draw, and the rest will be drawn during the next round (which will also likely have a lot more ITAs issued), Of course, there will be some new LMIA-holding applicants every month, but not so many as to block the...

Low(er) Scores? Why You'll Still Get ITA under EE

Speaking about numbers, do you have any figures to compare the number of applicants between Australia and Canada?

Low(er) Scores? Why You'll Still Get ITA under EE

Thanks for the perspective. I didn't know about Australian first draw; statistics on their site begin in the middle of 2013. Let's hope the next draw will be soon, a lot more ITAs are issued and the passmark goes way down.

Low(er) Scores? Why You'll Still Get ITA under EE

How can the score keep itself up? Where will those 50k applicants with job offers come from? Also, keep in mind that there's a large gap between the lowest 600+ scores and the highest "regular" scores.

    Rumors about "first draw"

There you go: Ministerial Instructions respecting invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system #1 – January 31, 2015 11:59:48 UTC The Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, pursuant to section 10.3 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, gives the annexed...

Should I tell my score cic

I was under the impression that applicants have to provide their LMIA number. Do you know if your friend provided a fake number? Or did not provide a number at all, but still received +600 points?

EE Application Discussion for ITA Receivers

Yes, there is, see here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/mi/ (subsection "Ministerial Instructions respecting invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system")

    CIC latest update from Twitter

They posted about it yesterday, too. It's like they have some sort of internal instructions: "When in doubt, tweet about Supervisa".
