Hi, I'm also from Poland :) make sure you include all up to date forms. If you don't, the application might get returned and then your wife could lose her implied status. Good luck to you two, keep us updated :)

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

I'm not sure how long it will be in Yellowknife, but usually it takes 4 weeks for bigger cities and 1-2 for smaller, so with Yellowknife you shouldn't have to wait too long.

    Forms - Adobe issue?

I had that problem, download those forms again, cause most likely they have been updated. And cic may send your package back if you include outdated forms.

Thanks, +1! I will probably hold off for now and wait and see if the card will get here anytime soon. We got lucky, but I've noticed there's many applicants from September and October getting DM's. I have no idea why they are not doing this in order..

You have to apply for a study permit if you will study for more than 6 months. The work part is not that easy, there are some restrictions. You will not be able to work on your study permit if you are a part - time student. But if you submit your PR application inland, you can attach the OWP...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2014

We've waited a few days for DM, some people wait 2-3 months, but most get's the DM about a week after AIP. It is not a rule though, if your case is not straight forward and you have dependents it might be longer.

    SO I DID IT.

We are very lucky indeed ;D I believe there is a bit of wiggle room here. The abovementioned list consists of, but is not limited to, the proof of cohabitation - So, a sworn affidavit is a good way to go, however a letter from a family member or a friend may be recognized as a separate...

    SO I DID IT.

We had a different experience, we attached 3 letters (1 from a family member, 2 from friends) and none of them were notarized. We applied as common-law. The application process went rather smoothly, we weren't asked for any additional docs. We obviously had more proof, like bank statements and...

You have to pay $255 and send it to Vegreville - take a look at this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/updates/2014/2014-12-22.asp It's good to include a cover letter with your application number and UCI. Good luck!

    SO I DID IT.

You need to get a sin number (social insurance number) and you can start working. You'll get it at Service Canada when you come in with the COPR and your passport. If there's no line it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

No worries, good luck! And keep in mind to check if the forms aren't outdated. Since you've filled some out in June, make sure the date on the bottom of the form is the same as the date on the online forms on the cic website.

Inland commom law-pilot program for OWP

As I said, the will most likely stamp your app on the date they get it by mail - yes, it's better to send it by registered mail so you can track it yourself -I sent mine on September 9th, they received it on the 11th and I got the AOR a month later, saying it was received on the 11th of Sept.

Inland commom law-pilot program for OWP

It should be, the usual practice is that they stamp your application package with a date it was received and then, sometimes after a month and sometimes never (don't expect much consistency in this process) you'll get the AOR.

Inland commom law-pilot program for OWP

The countdown starts from the date CIC receives your application, so if you sent it in October / November you should get the OWP by ~March. Make sure all the forms are signed and up to date so your application won't get returned.
